I love Queen's Plaice because everything that goes in the fryer is gluten free. There are several vegetarian and vegan options, Queen Pea Bites, peas and potatoes in a vinegar flavoured batter, are deservedly popular. The onion rings are scrumptious. So are the halloumi fries. And there's a vegan hot dog in batter, too, yum. The fish is also very good. The gluten free batter is light, crispy and crunchy. The staff are really nice, too.

Probably the best gluten free fish and chips I've ever had. Beautiful crispy but light batter and incredible chips. Also got a battered sausage which was full of flavour and very juicy. Ate it all down by the sea and was still piping hot after the 10 min approx walk to get there. Just perfect 👍

I stopped here after a walk from Alnmouth to Amble and it’s always a panic trying to find somewhere gluten free and this place amazingly had basically everything gluten free! And to add to that it was the best scampi and chips I’ve ever had, I’ll definitely come back again and try and fish next time! Oh and the halloumi fries were amazing, not to mention the curry sauce! Also the staff were really nice and let me eat inside as it was so cold outside :)

I was so happy to find this gluten free fish and chip shop in the main street in Amble. I ordered 1/2 cod and chips. The batter was light and crispy and the chips were great too and not greasy. They even had gluten free vinegar! And the prices were very reasonable too. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely delicious. Was in the area on holiday and was shocked that everything on the menu except pies and buns were gluten free. Was so chuffed to enjoy fish and chips again. Even my partner was impressed and said without a doubt we will be back. Very friendly staff too keep up the good work 👏

The best fish and chip shop of the North!!! Large portions, but plenty of choice if you fancy something other than fish or a lighter bite. Vegan options also available. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I'm COELIAC and the whole menu was GLUTEN FREE!!!! A rare find! My husband who isn't Coeliac said it was the best fish and chips he'd had in a long time the batter is so light and not a soggy chip in sight. I will definitely be back!!

The best fish and chip shop in Amble and we have tried a few. Great batter on their fish, which is light and crispy with lovely white fish. You also have the option of skinny fries if you fancy a change, or are not a fan of the usual fish shop chips.

Best gluten free fare you can get. Always top notch freshly fried for you so expect a little wait. In fact it's the best chippy in Amble. Right

Gluten free fish and chips. Great chips. Great fish. Great batter. Apart from the pies, completely gluten free. My son thought 5 chicken nuggets would not be enough so ordered 10; he only just managed to finish them. They are nothing like what you get at other fast food restaurants, pieces of real chicken at least twice the size as their processed namesakes.

Fantastic place to eat. Expected gluten free options, got full gluten free menu. Fish, sausage, chicken, chips, vinegar, curry sauce - absolutely everything gluten free… even haggis! and very tasty too! As a coeliac would highly recommend! My partner - who is not coeliac - preferred this fish to others local!
