Hurt Arms - Ambergate - Photo album

Came here as a group of 4 for lunch. We had already booked a table and were seated straight away. The service was very friendly and efficient with full table service. Nice ambience and not too busy. We all had the Sunday carvery which was probably the best Sunday lunch I have had in a long time (we
Following a visit to the Great British Car Museum, we were looking for somewhere to eat. This was just down the road and so stopped for lunch. The bar area was relatively quiet and easy to find a table. The menu was good and typical of a good pub list. We had steak n ale pie & chips and roast beef s
A very nice experience. I would highly recommend dining here. The decor is very modern and contemporary with an upper market feel. Although the menu doesn't have a huge selection it was nice as it wasn't overwhelming to choose a dish. The food and drink was very tasty and came out relatively fast.
Went for lunch after visiting The Great British Car Journey. Service good and food was good quality. I had a lamb and mint burger that interestingly presented. My friend had homemade fish finger that he considered very good. Prices reasonable for the quality, nice atmosphere with large free car par
Had a lovely meal here with friends on a warm and sunny Tuesday evening. We sat outside and had a drink to start with and I noticed that there are several lots of outdoor seating located to the sides and rear of the building. Our friends were staying overnight and mentioned they had a very pleasant
Came here for lunch last Thursday and left feeling like "So yes, there are still brilliant places to eat out!" Fantastic food. So good we came back for breakfast on Saturday! Once again, excellent food and service. Will be back. Thank you. X
This is a beautiful place with an ample car park. Disabled parking is available. There are steps to enter the building directly from the car park. Inside, there are areas where you can sit down and socialise while enjoying a wide variety of alcohol or non-alcoholic drinks. I would highly recommend l
Thank you to everyone that worked at our wedding on 8th September! The day was fantastic and lots of comments from guests on how good the food was. Special thanks to Brandon, Skye, Ryan & Mia for ensuring the day ran smoothly & keeping the beers flowing!
Lovely helpful staff in a great setting. The haddock and chips was exceptional. Some of the best I've ever had. Coming with homemade curry sauce and mushy peas. The only thing that I would have changed is that I wouldve preferred it on a proper ate. Not the cheapest lunch but absolutely worth every
Stopped here for a quick lunch and we really liked The Hurt Arms. The staff were great, friendly and helpful, they found us a table although we hadn't booked. The food was lovely, imaginative and very good value. Nice cold alcohol free lager on tap which was welcome on a hot day. Would definitely re
We went for my 60th birthday family sunday lunch. There were 19 of us. Some had carvery , others from the menu The carvery was lovely. Food was brilliant. The service team were very friendly and coped admirably with my family's often weird menu adaptations. Would definitely go there again. Fab pla
We had a meal there. We were outside, which was quite noisy with the traffic but very workable, and the garden area was nicely maintained. The staff helped move tables without asking. The prices are quite high (we spent £75 on food for 2 adults and 2 kids, mains and desserts) but you do get nice foo
Great pub to stop at. Great selection of ales, friendly staff and comfy seating. It's a good point to stop if you're walking from Cromford along the canal and the bus stop and train station are on the doorstep of the pub so very convenient to get transport back if you don't fancy the walk. We didn't
Last minute meal here. Early doors, had the steak meal. Piping hot and very tasty. As we find everywhere lately, no heating on, so not a very warm place to eat !
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing! We have a 5 month old and the staff were extremely accommodating. Mackenzie in particular was very helpful and lovely! The hotel is lovely and the breakfast was delicious! We would highly recommend The Hurt Arms!
Very easy to find. Tables are set out well to give an illusion of privacy. Nice meal with great presentation. No wait. ££ reasonable.
Sunday lunch carvery. In an area snided out with Sunday carveries this shines out. Very good meat, plenty of veg choice. In fact first class. Pub itself was comfortable and warm and the staff were excellent. Another visit (no 5). If anything the food was better than previous visits, service still e
Popped in for a carvery on Sunday. Very nice and friendly atmosphere, great bar staff even though there was a mishap when paying for my pint 😂. Nice place and reasonably priced
Recently attended a friend's wedding celebration here. The staff were amazing & consistently provided excellent service. The rooms are comfortable wuth those little extra touches that really make you feel spoiled, and the food was great.
