Nice pub, in a good setting. Enjoyed our food but the standout for this place has to be its staff. The gentleman who served us, was amazing. Really great with our children (our 2 year old boy was being a handful) and was patient. Made good conversation, was very attentive and seemed happy in his job
Had a fantastic anniversary meal here yesterday. The food was lovely, well presented and extremely tasty! We were a bit disheartened that we were put in a small section, so it was quite cramped, but it didn't dampen our atmosphere.
The food was fantastic, shepherd's pie, to die for. Very pleasant staff and also very efficient. We didn't have to wait long between courses either. I had a very enjoyable birthday lunch with my daughter.
The whole experience was lovely, the food was great and our server was wonderful.. But i regret i have forgotten her name, so sorry. But she was friendly and helpful and even got a Happy Birthday message put on my daughters dessert plate as a surprise that i hadn't asked for. Such lovely attention t
We went for my boyfriend's birthday, my food was excellent, unfortunately my boyfriend's gammon was a dry. The waitress took this off our bill, which we thought was a lovely gesture. I would definitely come back here again.
After year of been a chef and working all over the country in the fine dining industry. This comes the closest place I've seen with the best food in a pub. They may be more but this one is 5 star.
We had a brilliant meal. Olly provided great service throughout our dinner and all the food was fantastic. Wonderful decor and great vibe.
Met up with good friends for a mid-week get-together. Food was lovely, and arrived promptly. The young lady who served us was so nice, really friendly and polite. The place was busy - even for mid-week- so recommend booking a table. All in all, nice atmosphere, and would definitely go there again.
Atmosphere and food quality was great. Service was very slow and not attentive but it did seem as if they had a lot of new waiting staff so I'm sure it will improve
First time visit to this lovely establishment just popped in for a coffee but decided to have a snack. Lovely fish goujons on a rustic roll with fries really enjoyed it. Will be back to try Sunday lunch soon
Luke behind the bar was so friendly, help us choose which cocktail to drink then he made them beautifully. Lola who served us our food and looked after our table was thorough and very sweet. We left both of them tips. They made my birthday night one to remember. Thank you!
We were greeted by many while walking around admiring the oak beams as well as the history of this amazing building which used to be a house nearly half a millennium ago. All of the staff were wearing face masks, plenty of space for tooting or away from the tooters. Good selection of drinks but can'
Lovely lunch here, served by our very friendly and professional server, Laura. The food and drinks were great, although there could have been a larger choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes and my halloumi salad only had two slices of halloumi. A nice relaxed ambience but with efficient and speedy se
I haven't been in the Red Lion for some time but was really impressed first class food and very friendly good parking a must will definitely be going back 👍
We have visited several times while staying with family locally. We like the atmosphere and staff are friendly, courteous and helpful (even though they were a little "run off their feet" during our recent visit). The food is "formulaic" (posh pub food produced by a chain) and therefore quality is us
Had my first visit here I didn't eat but the food I could smell, smelt very good. Pleasant interior and staff. Will be back for food
