Had my birthday meal here, wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else. The food is excellent, the ales/ciders are and the people are fantastic. So lucky to have a pub like this in the village.
A chance visit while mountain biking with my partner and the Grandchildren, refuelled on Soft drinks and amazing sandwiches.... with side of chips, delicious.... and lovely place.... with beer garden, made me smile it was Hobsons Brewery....
Fantastic cosy pub by the canal with a big beer garden. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, wholesome and home-cooked by the wonderful Jayne. Try it - you won't be disappointed!
Lovely pub, great food, fantastic staff and terrific selection of ales. Mines pint of premium.
Small menu (about 10 items, excluding desserts) which manages to cover all tastes, including a good selection for vegetarians. Excellent prices, generous portions, tasty food, good variety of local ales and ciders. What else can you ask for?
One thing to note, is that the pub is very small so booking a table in advance is highly recommended, especially for Sunday lunch.
its a fantastic place to go for a meal with friends or family and have a great pint of traditional ale or cider
Top class paradise for real ale drinkers and lovers of top quality pub grub.
Great beer festival !! Great selection of beers and good food
Cracking food the chef is a miracle worker!
Best pub food ever and the beer is superb with a constantly changing selection.
Great pub serving an excellent variety of real ale and cider, plus a few traditional cobs and pork pies. Opening hours are restricted early-week, so check before travelling. It's conveniently close to Alvechurch station, which is in the line connecting to Bournville (for stirchley high st) and Birmingham New Street.
We didn't eat here, but the beer was great. I missed the mild, but the dark cherry ale was sublime. Friendly locals and the staff member who served us was nice. Well done.
The Weighbridge is a living legend of a pub! I've been coming here for 20 years! The beer is exemplary! The food is too! The pub is in a beautiful canal marina in Alvechurch and the views are beautifully tranquil and relaxing even before you tasted the excellent selection of real ales! Great friendly staff under new young Management, Chris and his team and a host of community activities too including the very wonderful Mikron Theater group. If you're thinking of visiting Friday, Saturday, Sunday call in advance to book a table whether your eating or drinking, because it gets busy really quickly!
Great real ale pub by the canal , I'm sure it would be lovely on a warm summer's evening. We went in February for the Wassail which was great fun & very well attended.
An old fashioned proper pub offering real ale and a warm welcome. The pub is very small so you'll probably be sitting outside...dress accordingly for comfort! There is a small food menu but it's nice. Dog friendly outside.
We called into this lovely place on Tuesday as part of our Canal Boat holiday. Great beer choice + whilst we were too late for food we were allowed to order a takeaway and eat it there. This was so kind. Thank you x
Arrived here to find they had a beer festival on. It was very busy and there were a lot of beers, ales cider etc on offer as well as a good selection of food. It was a pleasant experience
CAMRA District Pub of the Year, and easy to see why. Good variety of drink options. Nice garden.
One of the very best pubs I’ve ever been to. Staff are fantastic and always new beers to try.
I can only make it to this pub every so often because of distance but over the last couple of years or so I have throughly enjoyed it there and have take a few friends with me. They too love it!
What makes it so special is the staff who are always friendly. And just recently the beer! Enville aile and the Enville ginger, fabulous 👌 please have these more often. 😀
