Nice clean, quiet and relaxing place with hot and iced drinks and sandwiches according to the menu. It also has a retro and current video game room. Very nice place and very friendly staff.

The distant beat of a radio playing a song triggering memories from years past.
The bustle, clatter and rumble from the back of the Cafe. I take refuge in the artificial light, looking out at the rain. People and cars rush by as I slow the pace. They click through the gears from traffic lights as I change down. The velvet roast coffee slips over my tongue and soothes my mind as much as my lips. The smell of fried breakfast comforts my senses without the calorie guilt of eating it.
The trees outside drape their long loving arms like locks of hair, the rain it drips from their finger tips while they move with a subtle sway, as summer takes it's final bow the autumn moves from the wings into view. The anticipation of the dark nights offering a welcome break to the pace I've been moving at.
The smile of the lady who serves me coffee, serves me a motherly warmth missing from childhood from the one who bore me. It's value is worth its weight in gold, she is blissfully unaware of the effect she had....

A little gem hidden in the middle of Alvaston. Had a cup of tea and baked potato, lovely and fresh. Staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely visit again. 😊

Lovely little cafe. Extremely comfortable, clean, and tidy. I had a lovely slice of bloomer toasted with avocado 🥑 and poached egg. I would have preferred the egg softer tbh. My sister had a bacon buttie, she was happy that it was air fried. The young staff were very smiley and friendly. As was the cook when she walked through. It's easy to miss this place if you don't know it's there.
Staff was very pleasant, prices were reasonable, wasn't waiting long for drinks. Not a very big cafe, but nice and cosy.

Absolutely fabulous breakfast. Friendly staff and great service. Worth mentioning the sausages are herby and meaty. Clearly great quality sausages and not the cheap ones you often find. Thick cut toast with proper butter too. Very reasonably priced and must say best cafe breakfast I've had in Derby!
Highly recommended and looking forward to revisiting for the Caribbean food!
