Best Thai food around, lovely staff who are always friendly and always go out of their way for you. Take away is always brilliant and piping hot. Can't recommend a dish as they are all delicious! Can never recommend this place enough!
We have just been to the Sandbach restaurant and really impressed with every aspect the staff, service, decor, drinks and food were all 5 star nothing was too much trouble. We took our 3 year old son along to our evening meal and they were so friendly even showed him the amazing cocktail making and he certainly loved his noodles and ice cream! thank you so much we will definitely be returning soon
Tried the new restaurant in Sandbach tonight, the food was amazing and great service. Highly recommend
Went for the buffet this afternoon, and it was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back and try off the menu! Staff were lovely, and the place looked gorgeous too!
Went to Phanthong last night for my boyfriends birthday. This was our first trip. There was 11 of us. No prior deposits were asked for. We couldn’t have been looked after any better. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. They put the balloons on the table as I’d asked and brought out the cake at the end. We loved it and will definitely be back.
Had a another lovely meal on Wednesday at the Sandbach restaurant delicious food and great staff.
Treated to a meal there, Fathers Day just gone, in Altrincham. Ended up having the Buffet. A nice big selection of starters, both hot & cold, and a wonderful array of mains to choose from too!!!
Such a nicely refurbished restaurant with lovely staff which make a great atmosphere. Great singer on and the food took us back to our trips to Thailand. I would recommend the red and green curries. Great date night #sandbach
We were here on Saturday night for our works party. The food was amazing and lots of it. The staff was very attentive the cocktails are gorgeous and we all had a great night. Thank you for fitting all 18!of us in.
Amazing food and very helpful and polite staff plus drinks are more than reasonable in price too! 👍🏽👍🏽
Great food best Thai food I've had in years, food was so fresh and cooked to protection will definitely be coming back and the staff were really friendly too
This really is a hidden gem in Altrincham
Wonderful food and great staff. I love it
Visited this lovely restaurant yesterday for lunch. Food was amazing and the staff were attentive and extremely friendly. Can't wait to go back for dinner.
I have only lived here less than 3months and have been in 4-5 times. Amazing food, lovely staff and great ambiance!
Was at the Phanthong yesterday, Sunday 16th July. Am fairly regular here as friends of mine live very near Altrincham. As per usual, the food was spot on, delicious! The staff are very friendly, not at all intrusive but very efficient...I love going here with friends because the food is excellent. Can't wait for the next time!
We went to Sandbach and loved this place, went for lunch today awesome service and amazing food. Thank you so much for making our day
First time in here - my husband picked the place for Valentine's day, not really knowing where exactly it was or what to expect, and we both absolutely loved it. The menu has a large selection of dishes and everything we had, from the mixed starter plate to the massaman curry to the yellow bean pork and broccoli was delicious. Really enjoyed it! The service is attentive and friendly and we were made to feel welcome from the time we set foot inside to the time we left. Will definitely be back again, and will DEFINITELY have the massaman curry again - it's DELICIOUS!
We went to Phanthong for lunch on Saturday and ordered from the A La Carte menu. The decor is lovely. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We had young kids with us and they loved the food too, especially the pad Thai noodles. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again.
Great early evening meal with colleagues. I’m vegetarian, lots of choices, not at all restricted.
We visited on a Sunday and experienced their buffet style menu. The food was amazing and you could try all of the items on the menu for one price. You can order one at a time so they each arrive hot and fresh! The service was great too, very friendly and helpful staff.
In days of yore, it used to be a hallmark of sophistication that one’s village boasted a Thai restaurant in addition to a chippie, Indian and Chinese restaurant. While that position has now been usurped by the Vietnamese restaurant (or Japanese sushi bar if a nouveau hamlet and Cambodian if hipster commune) there’s no denying that it remains the destination of choice for coconut themed spicy hits of flavour.
Being on my door step, Phanthong was a place that I often passed en route to somewhere else, so after a night carousing with my Malay and Singaporean (yes, there is a difference!) friends reminiscing about that usual topic - food and where to eat it, the abject lack of Nasi goreng in Hale came up. Thai was considered to be the next best thing now that Angor Soul has departed.
Therefore when I drove past today, I seized the day and popped in for lunch.
To be fair my bench mark for a decent Thai lunch has to be the nondescript stalls in Chatuchak market rather than the rarefied offerings at 80/20 on Charoenkrung road. In this regard Phanthong scored full marks.
The Moo Ping took a few seconds to impress me with subtlety of the marinade. I must decipher it’s secrets to up my summer BBQ game.
The Pad Thai was umami and scrumptious mess all rolled into one. The tamarind was not overwhelming as can occur with an inexperienced chef.
I chickened out with dessert opting for the safe option. Now I regret not sampling the banana coconut option.
While I could be accused of throwing shade here, the folks at Chilli Banana could certainly learn a thing or two from Phanthong.
Portion size a little small for price but slightly expected for a fancy looking Thai restaurant who changes plates for you between starters and mains (heated plates!) This is especially so for the mixed plate starter...
For the mains, flavours are beautiful (we had curries and pad Thai) although both my friend and I weren't sure about the amount of grapes and other fruits that were in one of the curries (no. 46 on the dinner menu) Otherwise the meal overall was good, duck dishes had sufficient ducks and seafood dishes had sufficient seafood. Just beware that most dishes don't come with rice so you have to order that separately.
Would come again for the service but would be too pricey for an extremely hungry soul
Much tastier than expected. We had the set lunch menu, and the curry I had exceeded my fussy expectations. Service was great without being in your face. The food isn't pretentious, just simple presentation and enough to fill the average person.
Food was great! Everything was made fresh and had no complaints. Worth visiting, I'm definitely going back!
Tasty and friendly restaurant. I highly recommend the seafood pad thai. Prawn crackers are complementary as you sit down. All in all a great experience.
£12.95 2 course lunch
Really can’t complain about this.
2 courses, good quality and portions.
Definitely coming back.
Had a good lunch on a Saturday, enjoyable ambience with thai music, friendly staff. Tasty food yet inexpensive. Skewers chicken and pork are excellent.
Food was delicious, a great range of options and very pleasant staff. Will definitely be returning as there were lots of things on the menu that caught out eye
Wonderful restaurant. I love the food here. Fresh ingredients and lovely presented. Very clean environment and pleasant staff. I especially love the hot water and luxurious hand wash which is lacking in some restaurants. Beautiful decorating adds to the charm. I have visited this restaurant twice and can't wait to return.
Went to this lovely restaurant last night for family birthday celebrations. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. My husband had vegetable spring rolls to start with although nice he did comment that th sweet chilli sauce lacked in flavour.
Mains I had Duck in tamarinds sauce with Cashew nuts with egg fried rice and I have to say it's the biggest portion of duck I've had in a restaurant I was pleasantly surprised, although would have liked more sauce to cover the rice. Husband had chicken stir fry with mushrooms, garlic and chilli. He found it nice although the texture didn't quite feel right.
Dessert was 2 scoops of honeycomb Ice cream but the ice cream itself was vanilla with honeycomb as there was no flavour and for the price paid want all that impressive
