Dropped in with the wife and 2 kids. We were staying at splash landings, they were too busy so we found this place nearby. A nice atmosphere, friendly staff who never stopped.smiling and chatting. Great menu, great food! All homemade in large portion sizes. My kids couldn't finish their burgers...thats a first! Will be returning to here for definate. Well worth venturing out of Alton Towers instead of their overpriced buffet!

Booked a couple of nights at Alton Towers on a 'special offer' rate. Felt totally ripped off for lots of reasons and the food was nothing special, expensive and poor service. Went in search of a McDonalds which, bad as it is, would have been preferable and more honest than the Secret Garden 'Restaurant' at AT. Anyway stumbled on the Blacksmiths Arms a few minutes down the road. What a little Gem of a place.... lovely decor, delicious, reasonable priced food and wonderful customer service.... nothing was too much trouble. AT should send their restaurant staff here for training. Such a lovely warm welcome. Highly recommend eating here and would go out of our way to go again. Wonderful, thank you xxx

Popped In yesterday after a long day at the theme park! Walked from Little Micklin Touring park.. for a small bite to eat... MY GOD! We did not expect the food to be as big nor taste and look as good as it did!! The staff were smashing and very polite, nothing was to much effort! The food went down an absolute treat... when we return for our next trip... We will absolutely be coming back to your amazing restaurant!! Thank you!!

Visited here a few times now when on road trips to Alton towers with friends, can't recommend highly enough, really great surroundings, friendly staff and although the food is absolutely fantastic it won't cost you that much, such a nice place to relax at the end of a long day

Superb restaurant, I have never done a restaurant review on either trip advisor or Facebook before, but the outstanding food and service of this gem of a restaurant made me feel compelled to share. Anyone visiting Alton Towers should get themselves down here, superb food, reasonable prices, great with kids, youngest went for the make your own pizza option both nights, and now feels like a pro!

Had a lovely meal at the blacksmith arms on bank holiday Monday,we phoned and asked could they accommodate 15 people at short notice and after a bit of rearranging by them they did so. All the meals were hot and cooked just right and we were all made very welcome, the kids were even invited to try out the new bowling alley. Thanks very much to all !

Excellent food and service. I like to have a little taste of everything on a menu so I usually go for a platter to share and a mains. Very rich and tasty food. Well presented. Staff are wonderfull too the girl serving us was very nice and attentive. Glad we ate here instead of In Alton towers where we were staying. Ps a nice pint of Guiness also 😁

Myself and my partner stayed overnight near here for Alton Towers, after a long day at the theme park the blacksmiths arms certainly delivered! The service can't be faulted, all very friendly and happy to help. There was a small wait for food, but this is due to the food being freshly cooked rather than frozen meals. The food was brilliant quality with a great quantity, neither of us were left wanting. The highlight was the dessert though, easily the best I've had in a long time. I would definitely recommend visiting here for a meal.

Stayed over in camper as part of Britstops scheme. Very welcoming on arrival, lovely evening meal, including make-your-own-pizza for the kids. Fabulous breakfast too! Lovely friendly staff. Perfect for a quick stop whilst at Alton Towers. Will definitely return for more!

Me and my partner stopped here for a meal, as we were staying at Alton Towers Hotel and we were told no availability in their restaurant so we searched online and came accross this place. What a find! Really cosy and peaceful, not too busy, very chilled atmosphere and lovely tea pots all around on the shelves which I thought was endearing and the food was just amazing! My partner ordered the chicken burger and he said it was the best burger he'd ever tasted! I ordered the gammon and that too was just delicious and quite reasonably priced. The service was also very good, friendly and attentive and you can go for a nice evening stroll just round the corner, all in all a great experience. We would definitely recommend and return
