We couldn't be happier to have spent our wedding day at The Departure Lounge. If we were to do it all over again, we'd be back in a heartbeat. Absolutely everything was perfect.

Came here to see the Hillside Car Boot Sale. After some much-needed bargain hunting - we popped in to café for breakfast. The vintage and retro decor inside is a nice touch.
Popped in for a quick working lunch whilst passing. Homely, friendly and welcoming decor and atmosphere. Good choice of food for a small cafe. Fish finger sandwiches were a winner.
This is a regular monthly trip to meet up with friends and share breakfast. Our group can swell to 16 or more people or, like today, be as small as 6 people. The food and drinks are tasty and good quality at a reasonable price. Staff are lovely and attentive even when the restaurant is busy.
Nice cafe which holds monthly afternoon classic car meets on the first Sunday of each month. Large field to park in and look around. The food is really good too, good burgers with all sorts of varieties available, and the chips are cooked just right.
Really liked this place, quirky interior and a lovely spot to stop. Staff really nice too. Seating inside and out with a small play area for kids. They have a cafe and bar.
We had a jacket potato which came with a homemade coleslaw. I would have taken a picture but we were too hungry.

My daughter and her future husband chose this place for their wedding reception. It was a brilliant choice. Simon and his team could not have been more helpful and the whole venue was fantastic. Everyone seemed to have a great time. If you are looking for a relaxed venue for an event this place gets
It's a must, first time of being there, food lush, good value, prompt service.

We both had a large breakfast for a change...I can only say that it was well cooked, good quality ingredients and definately large! Not the cheapest around but good value for money....we'll be back
Great cafe, good value breakfasts and good service. Even through they had a very large party in for breakfast they squeezed our order in 1st so we disnt have a long wait. Very homely with an eclectic mix of decor.
Called in on a group bicycle ride late Sunday morning in winter. Had a cooked breakfast. This was served quickly and with friendly service.
Decor rustic inside plain wooden tables and chairs with interesting mix of pictures and memorabilia. Benches outside for warmer weather.

I did a car boot & only used the loo there today. I have been into eat before though & it’s great! Car Boot sales are every Sunday early from 7am (sellers 6am-£6). It wasn’t too busy today due to damp weather but usually a good few attend.
My first experience at The Departure Lounge. What a lovely morning we had. Fabulous cooked breakfast and superb service. Would definitely recommend a breakfast here!

Been here for breakfast before. Its a Nice friendly cafe. Stopped for lunch with my wife toady and had the sandwiches. Stuffed full of filling. Bread was proper bread, fresh and tasty. Can highly recommend and can't wait to do another "breakfast run" on my motorbike with friends.
We recently had our wedding at The Departure Lounge and we would recommend them to anyone. Nice little cafe, great location for the various classic car meets, good food and service.. public toilet and rear garden area for outdoor eats and drink.. photo is just half of the field with my car on show, but there is another to the left for visitor parking...
All I can say is wow. The breakfast was awesome, especially as you could tailor it to your own tastes. Very reasonable prices as well. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming. Definitely on my list for breakfast again.
Perfect wedding venue!! Simon and the team made our day so very special and the food was amazing! So many people commented on how fab the venue is. Get creative and make something special for your big day! We will be back to the cafe for tea and plenty of cheesecake!
