Saddlers Bakery And Bistro - Alston - Photo album

We were staying locally and wanted to find somewhere for breakfast. After a little walk around the village we landed on Sandler's just as it started to rain. Our two dogs and ourselves were welcomed into the cafe. We ordered a traditional and a vegetarian breakfast, a coffee and a pot of tea. Our
Never thought to find such an exquisite cafe serving recipes that's out of the box, a Mexican style soup with lots of condiments to add and the apple and almond pie is so delicious we ordered a second helping. Wonderful service, saw them extending hours to accommodate a young family. And cool music,
Aware of recency bias, but this genuinely may have been the best fryup I've ever had. Absolutely flawless. Only popped in by chance when passing through Alston, and what a result. Not local to the area at all, but would 100% visit again if up this way.
After walking at High Force and driving across the moors we had a craving for something sweet and stumbled across Saddlers Bakery. Parked up and dashed back, despite being extremely wet and bedraggled we were welcomed warmly. Bought 2 (large) wedges of Bakewell tart to take away. Quite possibly THE
Lovely cafe/bakery, had lunch with my family. The veggie quiche, tuna mayo roll and chips were heavenly. Hats off to the chef and local produce
Found this place today while on a visit to the area. Food and service was excellent especially the fresh baked bread. Loved the Homemade Chips. The Sausage and Bacon in my sandwich was locally sourced and tasted beautiful. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.
We happened upon Saddlers when visiting Alston on holiday . What a great little cafe . We both had quiche for lunch ( there were 3 different flavours on offer ) , served with home made chips and a flavoursome salad . One of the nicest quiche lunches we have had - and I’m sure the home made pies were
Fabulous. Always great & friendly. Food is lovely. The bakewell tart is amazing.
Fabulous cafe, food tastes delicious and the fresh bread tastes so good. Very reasonably priced and owners are so welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely top class food and top class service at Saddlers again. We visit Alston as often as we can and love going to Saddlers for some delicious food and something yummy to takeaway for later. My favourite is the delicious individual quiches especially when accompanied by the yummy homemade chip'
Really good food here 😋 The bread they sell is amazing too. Small but perfectly formed! Very friendly service. Recommended.
Quality food and service with a smile. Tasty pies (recommend steak and ale and chicken / ham hock / leek). Cute cafe with lots of home made goodies. They're currently taking part in the AMEX shop small offer too (June2021) which means £5 off a £15 spend - result!
Excellent bap after a walk along the railway. Good coffee and my sandwich was served in tasty bread and lovely salad.
We stopped at Saddlers on our cycle ride from Hexham. What a little haven! A friendly, warm welcome, with two veggie breakfasts and big pot of tea was just what we needed. On our return route the next day we stopped again for lunch! The homemade savoury ‘Chelsea bun’ with cheese, garlic and herbs wa
A delightful and friendly place. Delicious fry up, and all the bakery produce on display looked lovely. Highly recommended.
