We had a lovely fish and chip supper from here. Had to wait a while as it was a busy Friday evening, but well worth the wait. Generous portions and lovely crispy batter.

Fantastic Fish and Chips . Some of the best chips I have had anywhere. The fish is always superb as well with an impressive menue of alternative items. So something for everyone plus friendly staff!
Good food and great price, always a huge portion of chips even if you go for small it's enough for 2, the chicken nuggets are 10 times crisper and better than mcdonalds, and still cheaper. Staff are friendly. There is sometimes a wait for orders but worth it for the food.
Had some of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The watercress festival was on but despite being busy, was served quickly. The chips were great but the fillet of cod was fantastic. Really meaty and moist. Will have to pop in next time I'm in town.

Great selection at, on the whole, good prices. Chips can be a little hit and miss; most days they're top notch but on rare occasions they can be a bit greasy. Chip portions are very generous. Fish is always fresh and the batter crispy.
Really tasty chip shop with a great variety of food to choose from. I've been many times and only had 1 or 2 meals not as good normal. It's by far my favourite chip shop in the area.
Looking for a nice piece of fish I'd given up when I stumbled on Dave's fish and chips at lunch time. Freshly cooked while I waited this has to be the largest piece of cod I've ever had and only £5. Delicious.
Excellent fish. Large size a meal in its self. Not a chip lover, but nice onion rings and mozzerollo sticks.
The best. 5 star hygiene. Fair prices, good portions, consistent quality. Just like a proper chippy should be.
Chips are fresh and tasted delicious also the pea fritter was yummy. Great food and service was good even though the workers seemed young but on the positive side they are getting money 😂😂
Just had fish bites and chips.. definitely worth the drive over from Stanhope , still nice and hot when got them home... Highly recommend Dave,s ..
Buy fish and chips here every Friday and drive from Four Marks for them even though we have a chippy across the road from us! Great food and freshly cooked.
