A wonderful smoke house and shop. The shop is in the courtyard. The shop instead is small but has a one way system. If the green light is on in the window good to go in. The smell of the smoke house is fab next door and the kippers, mackerel and salmon is fantastic. The salmon and kipper cakes are a must and the fresh crayfish to eat straight away is great as a snack. Parking is tight as no parking on site but you can park on the Craster Quarry car park which is a short walk to the shop.

This is a wonderful business in Craster - probably more well known as “The Kipper Shop”. It is well worth a visit to the site where you will probably see smoke pouring from the roof as the fish is smoked in the traditional way. I bought a small piece of smoked mackerel and it tasted so good that we went back and bought more and done smoked salmon which was equally delicious.

A must visit place when one is in Craster. Historic and rather famous smokehouse producing not only kippers but a whole array of smoked produce. Smoked salmon and the smoked salmon pate were particularly good.

If you visit Craster during the day, as you walk up the hill around the harbour-side, you can see the smoke pouring out of the smokehouse at Robsons. The smell is unforgettable! Lots of products available: small pots of ready to eat crayfish, smoked fillets, bread, sauces and other accompaniments. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic kippers, mackerel and the hot smoked salmon is the best. Thanks to the very helpful lady who vacuum packed all my smoked fish to bring home. And the crab sandwiches are a MUST !

I love the smell and taste of kippers, but a bad childhood experience with a fish bone makes me wretch when I encounter a fish bone in my food. If you're like me, fear not(!) filleted kippers are available at this fine establishment. #Yipee The staff are also very friendly and the prices are good value for such a quality product.

This smokehouse is rightly famous. Located in the beautiful village of Craster we visited only yesterday we bought freshly smoked kipper fillets that were vacuum packed in the shop at the smokehouse. We tried some of them when we got home. They are truly delicious! Super tasty when cooked to the instructions on the pack with buttered toast. Don’t leave Craster without getting some of these beauties!
