Fun family evening out at Sherkan Of Alnwick. We shared starters and ordered main courses plus drinks. Reasonably priced for four people. The quality of the food and the service was first class, we were well looked after. Everything we ordered arrived promptly, there was no excessive waiting so we could enjoy our dinner. We arrived quite early for a 5:30pm. booking and were there for roughly one and half hours when it was packed out. Great atmosphere, nice place to relax with family or friends and stunning window views of the town. I'm certain we will choose Sherkhans again!
Dropped in without a booking, and was lucky enough to be accommodated by the friendly staff. I think this might be one of the best Indian meals I've had this year, absolutely gorgeous. The service was excellent, and the staff were all polite too. I honestly can't recommend this place highly enough. I'm only here on holiday for a week, but if I lived in Alnwick, I'd be a regular customer.
Again another fantastic meal and this time, it was raining and the gentleman ( manager)?! Very kindly give us a lift home. I couldn't believe it but it was true,he took us home.😳
A relatively newish restaurant to the Alnwick scene. Very popular with locals & lots of attentive staff. The menu is quite extensive, with some interesting items including fruit based curry sauces. Food very tasty. To note, upstairs caters for large parties & it can be very noisy when full, almost to the extent you can't hear the person opposite you!
Lovely restaurant, the staff were pleasant and polite. Great selection of dishes to choose from. The food was delicious, generous portions, reasonably priced too. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely have a return visit soon.
We have enjoyed our takeaways from SherKhan over the years whilst on holiday. The food is so good that I am trying to think of a way to get my local chefs (Sheffield), up here to learn how to cook properly.
First time at Sherkhan of Alnwick but definitely won't be the last...can't believe that we have never stepped foot in the place before!!

Found this place by accident when we couldn’t get into the local Italian whilst on holiday and so glad we did. Were even allowed in before opening time. All the staff were smartly dressed and so polite and helpful. I was even allowed to get a cocktail to takeaway as I was driving.
The food was delicious. So good we went back for a takeaway later the same week.
After that so many people told us how good it was and that it had won awards. We’re not surprised.
Lovely restaurant located along the high street. Staff where very friendly over the phone and when we arrived for our meal. This was a last minute.com job as left it too late but they where really accommodating. Food arrived on time from when we ordered. They had some local products on sale and choose from.

I popped in for a takeaway last night for the first time. A wonderful place indeed. Clearly well used, clearly used to being busy. Well organised, sincere service, a modest waiting time and very good food. Very good food at a good price, yes. I was afforded a brief look into the kitchen through the ever used door and saw a clean, orderly place with the chef's in white linen chef's jackets and checks. Clearly the business is taken seriously here. I will buy from here again.
