Actually writing this while in one of the amazing rooms!!! Loved this place for drinks visiting a couple of years ago. Had food last year. Super excited to know we could actually sleep here too! Good quarter of the cocktail menu gone through, massive food portions I couldnt finish but loved. I totally feel at home here. Amazing place. Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff.... Down side.... I can not actually live here full time!

Fantastic lunch, we shared 3 meats from the smokehouse menu with great chunky chips side, homemade slaw & corn on the cob. Huge goblets of gin & the perfect way to spend our wedding anniversary in the Bondgate room. Tastefully decorated with very friendly staff, finishing with an excellent breakfast. A must visit.

Love this place, it’s my favourite smoke house, great place, great atmosphere, generous portions and lovely meat.
This is how smokehouse food should be done.

First time back in the town in over 20 years. Glad to see the bottles were still there. In for a quick lunch, food was excellent, staff all very attentive & friendly. Excellent service.
Be warned, the portions are huge, regretted having a cooked breakfast that morning...
Highly recommended!

Five Stars all the way. Only my second visit here....last one over 50 years ago as a teenager hitch hiking! Wow...it has changed in those years...memories of a small rough bar long gone... enlarged and spacious and a most excellent Sunday meal...beautifully cooked, well presented ...and loads of it. Super meal, nice decor, and friendly staff. Five Stars All The Way.
It was good experience visiting The Dirty Bottles with the great history. I would suggest you to book your table before you visit mainly for visitors.

Food is delicious had steak 🥩, buffalo wings with potato skin and cheesy fries are so good 10/10.

Lovely pub, lots of character, friendly staff. Good selection of beers and real ale including Alnwick IPA. Great selection of food, including burgers, steaks, curry, scampi and deserts all at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in Alnwick.
After a lovely day at the nearby castle we stopped off for some dinner. It was beautiful the kids had a hotdog and chips and a steak and chips for me. All came as requested and the atmosphere and staff were very friendly. I would recommend you come here. Very responsibly prices for what you get. All clean plates at the end. See you soon 👍🏻
The food here was lovely, the atmosphere is warm. I had the buttery chicken bun and the lemon cake with honey drizzle and raspberries. I recommend saving room for dessert. It came out warm and was perfect with the vanilla ice-cream. We came here after we visited Alnwick, and it was a great ending to our day. I recommend stopping by!
Amazing - lovely food - lovely atmosphere- lovely service especially from Serena who was brilliant and worked so hard so thank you. Lovely to be able to take our dog to and great tables. We liked it so much that we are going again even though on holiday and could go somewhere else. Cater for plant based/ vegan as well which is brilliant so thank you. Thank you so much again
Best Sunday lunch we've ever had. You need to book, but you won't be disappointed. Have never posted a review but just had to, shouldn't keep this secret.
I didn't stay here, I visited on the Saturday evening for a drink when it was busy and lively with a good drink selection. On the Sunday i visited for lunch and had the smokehouse. The amount of food provided was pretty epic and every element was delicious. The pit beans are a meal by themselves and are absolutely amazing!. Will definitely be back for food next time in Alnwick to sample more of the menu (with a side of the pit beans).

Nipped by to grab a bite to eat and have a quick drink. Service was quick and efficient. The food was fantastic and speedy and the drinks were spot on. They had some Harry Potter mocktails as well whoch was cool to see.
Baby friendly (has a changing room) and also has high chairs for kids. Would definitely come back!
Great food and service. Plenty of meat and vegetarian options. Staff friendly and helpful. Food is well cooked and tasty. Loved skins and wings.
Been a few more times and not disappointed. Great choice on menu. Can add the pit hot dog and burger to the tasty choice list now. Staff still ace.
