This is a great place to eat, the waitress was lovely and the food superb if you want a great meal this is the place to go

Amazing meal at Hooked tonight. All 3 courses were delicious and stunningly presented. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Best meal we have had in a very long time. Cannot recommend highly enough and cannot wait to come back!

We’re on holiday in the area and ate at this lovely restaurant tonight. We received a lovely, warm welcome, service was excellent and the food was exceptional. We appreciated being able to bring our dog into the restaurant.

We booked very late notice but got a table for two in the snug section, which does actually accept well behaved dogs (the main restaurant doesn't). I was worried it wouldn't be very inviting and be hidden away forgotten about since it is a snug but it was lovely and the staff didn't forget about us, as you are still in good view. It felt nice and intimate actually.
The food was gorgeous with sensible portions. I had three courses, which is often unknown for me. Interesting seafood options obviously (being a seafood restaurant) cooked very well. I don't like all seafood but there was still enough choice for me to have something nice.
They are not open all year round, so check opening times before assuming it will be open when you visit.
What a fantastic meal!!!! My wife and I had our first experience of Hooked and we were NOT dissapointed. I had Crab Cakes to start & my wife had Calamari. For mains my wife had Smoked Haddock chowder and I had the best Hake I have ever tasted. We would highly recommend this place to everyone
Didn't make a reservation as we were just passing by visiting for the day but they managed to squeeze us in anyway. Small but great selection of very well presented and freshly cooked food. Best seafood I have had in some time, definitely lives up to it's reputation. Mussels were cooked beautifully. Good portion sizes. Fantastic, friendly service. Will be returning next time we are in Alnmouth!
Delicious food, we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the servers were both so lovely and friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We had what can only be described as the BEST calamari EVER!!! And we have eaten a lot of calamari lol. Ihad the chowder which was a little too salty for my taste but it was so jam packed with fish and vegetables i enjoyed it none the less and my partner had the cod which was amazing,meaty and so beautiful and white. I highly recommend this restaurant to all ages and the ambiance was great.
My meal was superb but my husband's was not so fortunate. His crab cake starter was so full of chilli he couldn't taste the crab meat. Then his lobster was very dry and over cooked. Both of us enjoyed the poached pear dessert immensely.
Had a very nice meal here. Reasonably priced. What they cook they cook very well. A bit on the quiet side but I loved that. Was able to have a great conversation with my wife. Excellent service.
Excellent seafood restaurant based in the dining area of the Saddle B&B. Fine food, plus a good selection of wines and excellent service. Worth the price, it is an excellent initiative in this welcoming village.
Me and my wife came here for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The staff are very helpful and the food is really good. We are now hooked.
