Very comfortable and clean room looking out at the church, delicious sausage and mash with black pudding gravy and baby onions - huge portion! Breakfast good apart from the bacon being overcooked, but the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful

Great beer! The best chips ever ( chunky!) lovely atmosphere, dog friendly! Open fire - just great after a stroll along the beach - wish more pubs were like this! Oh and top staff! Thank you 😊

A truely lovely traditional pub with exceptional rooms. We stayed in room 6 at the side of the venue. It was wonderful. Spacious spotless and very comfortable. The food is excellent too...

Me and my new Husband had the chicken. I must say this meal was up there in the best 5 I've ever had in my life alongside Thai curry in Thailand and authentic Mexican in San Francisco. I absolutely loved it. Can't wait to visit again.

Was a cold day. The pub was very warm and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Sunday lunch was only £8.50 and £5 for my daughter. The food came quickly and was really nice. The portions of meat were huge and the variety of vegetables were way more than standard, especially for the price. Everything tasted great and I can honestly say that you will not find better in many other places. Very pleasant experience indeed!

Called in today as a party of four with a dog. Been here numerous times and it never disappoints. Plenty of people in for a Monday afternoon but not crowded. Good selection of Ales and everyone who calls in is made welcome. Very popular with all walks of life and dog friendly in bar and garden area. Highly recommend as it just has a very relaxed atmosphere.

A fabulous place to stay. Nice food, very clean and lovely staff/owners. Would have been 5* but the noise from late on live music spoilt our stay. Should gave ended at 8pm being a Sunday but it was still deafening us at 10.20pm...would recommend staying but not when live music is advertised as there's no escaping it.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Parking is an issue as there is zero on site parking, there is space for a few parking spaces for overnight guests which could be utilised. Rooms are lovely, very good standard. Surpassed our expectations. Breakfast was small, which was a shame, but what was there was nice. Overall very pleasant stay.

Nice little pub serving amazing pizzas (the Stilton and mushroom is my new favourite!) Great atmosphere, especially for the quiz night.

5 of us came for lunch and we were all very happy with the food and beer: in particular, the steak in the pie was tender and plentiful, and it’s made with proper shortcrust pastry. It’s a small pub, with some outdoor seating, and as you can’t book a table in advance, we arrived just before opening time (midday). It didn’t take long for all the tables to be occupied, which isn’t surprising given the quality of the food. Prices are decent too. Thoroughly recommended.
