Had my first trip to the coo shed this morning for breakfast. Food was delicious, best breakfast I’ve ever had, everything was so fresh! The staff are all super lovely and although very busy they took the time to make sure we had everything we need and were very attentive! Had the pleasure of meeting the owners while getting our first bottle of fresh milk, they made sure we knew how the machine worked and were more than happy to answer any questions we had. I couldn’t recommend coming here for a bite to eat and some lovely fresh creamy milk (very reasonably priced as well). Also have a beautiful garden section with a wide variety of plants, plant pots and garden ornaments. In the cafe area they also show video footage of the cows in the fields (they look super happy running around) and the farm area. Myself and my mum will 100% be back again - next time to try the bakery and milkshakes!

We cycled there from Kilmarnock and it was worth pedalling up and down hills to get there. There wasn't a seat in the place but we were quickly attended to. The service was excellent despite the number of diners and the waitress was very attentive, getting the order 100% correct and without us having to wait on courses. Food quality was first class. I really did marvel at how sleek an operation it was. Whoever is running this place knows what they're doing. I simply can't think of a single negative to write. Well done the team at the Coo Shed.

The cafe is a great place to visit, the food is great and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. However, it is the unique vending machines that bring me back twice a week. You can get fresh milk, from the cows that graze on the farm, dispensed to you 24/7 in a reusable bottle. On top of that you can get some of the fantastic cakes, which are also served in the cafe, from a vending machine. This is such a great idea, with ice cream soon to also be on offer.

This was my birthday treat and what a treat it was. This place is really busy we were fortunate to get a table. There was a real buzz as almost every table was occupied. I had fish and chips at lunchtime and it was a generous helping. Despite it being so busy the service/staff were excellent. We weren't rushed away. When we left there was a queue waiting such is the popularity of this place. You cannot book in advance which tells you how good it is. I would say it is certainly worth waiting for.

Just off the main road with a large gravel car park, indoor and outdoor seating available. Lovely high ceilinged barn style cafe with a strong farm theme. Service was fast and friendly despite it being a very busy lunchtime. Selection of sandwiches, toasted & normal, came out quickly with good quality ingredients and well presented with salad and coleslaw and fantastic chips (REALLY good chips!). Big selection of cakes and traybakes available, these were also available from one of several vending machines in the barn in car park. Coffees were also very good. Would recommend a stop to anyone, will return!

What a delightful surprise. Just out the top of the town. Visiting from overseas go to Burns monument and then lunch at the Coo shed. It was very busy. We did go around 11.30 and people were queuing to get in. Lots of delicious cakes. I just made the wrong choice by having cheese macaroni. Nicely presented. Would make this a favourite.

Really enjoyed this place. There was a queue outside to get in but it moved at a fair pace. The food was amazing, my wife and daughters all enjoyed their meals for lunch. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Lovely cakes too.

We recent had lunch there. Interesting start, we had to queue outside due to the restaurant being full..A obvious sign of its popularity. The staff were friendly, ( the member of staff who showed us to our table was extremely pleasant and customer focused). The menu was inviting and price competitively. An excellent experience, which we would happily repeat.

Usually come here in the dead of night to buy on their cakes from the dispensers, but thought I'd pop in during the day with my friend and her son. The place was packed (always a good sign) but they managed to find a wee table for us. The menu had a good selection and the kids menu was good too. Everything was reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Staff were lovely if a bit rushed off their feet. Absolutely recommend popping in for a bite. And can get a cake to takeaway from the vending machines outside or get your fresh milk!
