Lovely place for water sports with friends and family, and of all ages, something for everyone has all the safety precautions in place and very friendly staff. Didn't use the café but what we saw looked good. I'm looking forward to summer days with the family at Allerthorpe.
We went at a weekend with our 3 year old son and booked for the lake side walks etc. Arrival was easy as we were greeted by a staff member who handed out wristbands and directed us to the correct parking spot.
We watched some of the water activities taking place, which look great fun.
Unfortunately
It's a nice place to stay with kids. It was very busy on a Sunday. Plenty of things to do if you are willing to spend money. Booking is required in advance. Dogs are allowed.
Had a great long weekend here in the campervan. Loved the aquapark, would recommend booking early or late slot to avoid huge groups of teenagers! The lake walks were lovely and we enjoyed meeting the donkeys and goats. Good toilet and shower facilities.
Great place to visit for both adults and children. We had the best day kayaking and on the inflatables. Nice to see the little ones having fun on their own little inflatable area
Allerthorpe is very fun place which is ideal for all types of activities for families. The lake is inviting as also the food on offer which is good value in terms of quality. As a cyclist they are inviting and we use it at various times in the year. Go on try outdoor swimming.....
Absolutely love this place, easily spend the whole day there, kids love splashing around in the water then finish the day with a beautiful walk around the lake.
Allerthorpe has become our favourite day out on hot days over the past couple of years. Being inland, it's usually a couple of degrees warmer than the beach. The admission price for a car allows you to use the two paddling areas, one of which is deep enough for swimming in places, the park and the w

We came here as part of a hen weekend. I didn't take part in the water activities myself but the ones in the party who did had a fab day. There's plenty to do if you book and slots available for different activities on the day if you fancy something else/something additional. Cafe, playground and to
Stayed 2 nights in touring caravan, beautiful lakes and great walks, nice cafe.
Plenty of water activities.
The touring pitches are very spacious and the shower toilet facilities were very clean and tidy.
I went to Allerthorpe to do some fishing, while doing that I took some drone photos. It's a wonderful place to go out for a day.
Visited whilst staying near York, lovely country park for a walk with a really nice cafe serving very good coffee and delicious cake overlooking the main lake.
If you haven't been must go their is activity for adults and children water sports lovely coffee shop very reasonable prices.
What a really lovely place to visit. Very clean and well kept with an excellent cafe and very dog friendly. I did think £6 for two adults just to walk two dogs was a bit steep, but we did enjoy our visit. Watching everyone paddle board, kayak and bounce about on the inflatables was very entertaining
Great place to visit. We had a birthday party on the water .. easy parking .. and the onside facilities were spot on
A relaxed atmosphere. Great fun on the lake with the option to do water sports. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus. Make sure you book online first with an admission entry then water sports as it confirms your entry. A large changing space and clean toilets. I didn’t see any showers but if your stayi
