Just visiting for a quiet weekend away and had a warm welcome to the pub on entry. Asked if we could have some dinner and they supplied us with menus and we were eating within 30 minutes. Perfectly presented and absolutely lovely food, very impressed! Homely feel all round. Definitely recommend!
Had a very nice quiet afternoon lunch with Mrs and the dogy. Food was excellent, had fish and chips, loved the fish, beautifully crispy batter, golden huge chips and lovely mushy peas. Try biscoff cheese cake, it is lovely. Atmosphere was calming and relaxing, people were super friendly and happy. L

Great little village pub with bags of atmosphere and a strong link to the bomber squadrons that flew from Pocklington airfield during WWII. There are loads of photos, squadron badges etc, on display. Great beer, friendly staff, good food. There's a lovely beer garden out the front, and plenty of seating inside. Their fries are the best... sweet potato, halloumi or regular potato - they're all awesome. Serves a good pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord....
