What an incredible place to go for food! Me & my partner fancied a meal out and went here out of the blue. The service was brilliant, drinks were great and the food was on another level! We’ll now be regulars coming back. We had the 10oz rump steak and Royal burger and can honestly say we’ve never h
What a lovely place to share a meal with family or friends. Everyone on our table remarked on the large portions served. We thought small plates meant starters, so we were amazed by the size of them, but quality and taste wasn't skimped on. I had Foccacia and olives, delicious. Then the main course
Nice pub, great food, decent enough service. Onion rings were great, as well as the crispy bacon on the burger! A nice treat/birthday meal!
Fantastic find on our day out in the Peak District. Waze brought us a wild way from Birmingham but we are so glad, this pub is fantastic. Reasonably priced, cracking views and decent sized portions. My partner said it was the best chicken salad she’s ever had!Would highly recommend. Photo is of the
We could not have chosen a better place for our anniversary. Great location, really beautiful and cosy old building. The steak was delicious and really well cooked. The apple crumble was a bit of a disappointment, but in general the food was good and staff super friendly.
Great service and lovely food. We both had the Sunday roast, the lamb was a little rare for my liking but overall the food was delicious
What a fantastic surprise walking in. Hidden gem. Great menu, attentive staff and food was 👌. Great presentation and great portions. Fantastic bar that I'm sad I couldn't take advantage. Really worth the visit
Reopened. Renovated. Redesigned. Renewed. Really good! ☆☆☆☆☆ Lovely new beautiful interior in a modern feel with a nod to a classic country pub style. A fine selection of lagers, ales, cider, rum, gin and wine. Went for the Sunstone Hazy Pale and bloody lovely it was, too! The new menu here is a
Excellent if not too generous food portions. Lots of choice and menu has some original and tasty options. Staff couldn't do enough for us whilst there, very attentive. The atmosphere seems good, however when in larger groups always feels like you're separated from the main areas. Probably didn't hel

Went in for an early dinner (2 adults and a toddler) Place was very quiet. Staff were fantastic, not overbearing but very friendly and helpful. My daughter is a very very fussy eater and they were happy to do a sort of child friendly ploughman’s (cheese, peppers and some fruit) for her and even cut
Great food, fantastic service! We will be back!
Passed the plough coming from beeley so stopped for a quick pint. Very welcoming and a nice atmosphere. I did not eat but food looked great. Big on weddings and catering for all. A brilliant garden area
Had a lovely meal here on a Saturday night. It was busy, but the staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was lovely and the portion sizes were big. I had the fish pie which was excellent.
