We were fed up of having mediocre Indian & chinese takeaways and wanted to try something different. Lil Africana food did not disappoint, the food was delicious & cooked to perfection, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was decorated to a high standard and extremely clean and had a really good atmosphere. We would definitely buy food from there again.

A gem of a place in Aldridge. Went with family and had the best experience ever. From entering to leaving the restaurant the service was spectacular. The whole environment, ambience, food and atmosphere was 10/10. A special thanks to the staff who ensured the service was above par. The food was amazing and the flavours were balanced to give a true Afrikana experience complimented by the refreshing mocktails. The best meal i have had and cannot wait to return

I was very intrigued to find an African restaurant in Aldridge. I was even happier to find they have vegan friendly options. I ordered the vegan wrap with vegan chicken and chargrilled veggies and plantain. The plantain was cooked perfectly and the wrap was made from super soft bread and the veggies were grilled nicely with that BBQ flavor. Definitely recommend. The staff were also super accommodating and helpful right from booking through to pick-up. Thanks guys!

The refurbishment looks amazing. It has earthy tones and is very clean. The service was great. Disappointed with the menu choice for vegan / plant based diet.though.

The variety of food with their individual flavours are just top tier! Had the chicken checkmate, smash surprise, prawn to be wild, and Afrikana fruit punch! Enjoyed every bite and every sip! Be sure to get some extra sauces as well because they are 👌🏿 excellent experience

Went with family and I must say food was delicious! 😋 Compliments to the chef, 5 star. He personally came to our table to check on us, which was really nice of him.👍Service was excellent, friendly staff who were very welcoming. My 5 year old boy loved it even though he's very picky 😊 and the atmosphere was nice ❤️ would definitely recommend it to family and friends and definitely going back!

Lil Afrikana is the smaller more takeout orientated branch of the Afrikana brand with larger restaurants in Birmingham, Cardiff, Blackburn, Dalston, Leicester and Derby. It's the only one of its kind currently. As such there are only 6 tables for dine in inside. The menu on offer is a smaller selection to the normal restaurants but still has all their main core offerings. The location is on the high street in Aldridge with parking available directly outside it. The interior and exterior of the venue was beautiful with nice touches on the wall including a grass outline of the continent of Africa and the bespoke glass lighting fixtures. When I entered the location, I could immediately sense the smell in the air of that flavoursome grilled chicken. The prices are very reasonable given the location and is cheaper than Nandos and on a par with its nearest competitor being Pepe's Piri Piri. They also do delivery via Just Eat that I observed when there. Main - Butterfly Chicken with Fries I opted for this as I didn't fancy messing with the bones today. I opted for mixed peri peri flavour which is their medium spice level. The size was larger than expected which was a good thing. The chicken inside was juicy with no hint of it being dry. The mixed peri had a small and suttle kick to it. Overall this was very good. Fries were well salted and crispy. Side - Plantain I love some plantain. That sweet succulent flavour. This was evident here today. It isn't as sweet as some Jamaican takeouts or restaurants but it was lovely either way. The location also does bottomless drinks for £2.95 where you can refill as often as you like. The drinks on offer include Sunkist Lemon & Lime, Sunkist Orange, Vimto and Vimto Still, Pepsi Diet and Pepsi. Glass bottles are also available if you prefer them. It's noted there's no ice dispenser but the drinks are suitablely chilled. Service wise I was greeted immediately on entry by the host who was friendly in their manner and though I asked some questions about the menu they were unsure about they were able to get me the answers promptly. Toilets and location was clean and well maintained. Overall the location impressed me and I will definitely visit again as it's nice for it to be a bit more peaceful than its main restaurant counterpart.

Stumbled on this fabulous place by accident this evening. What a gem to find! Fabulous service, mouthwatering food and a lovely ambience to the place. We went for a few starters to share as we’re not big eaters but loved loved loved Prawn to be Wild, Lady fingers, lamb chops, hummus & bread, Afrikana chips. Thank you for lovely evening and looking after us so well!

Absolutely amazing food. Such big portions - couldn't finish mine 😫🙈 Chicken was moist, rice was fluffy and fries were so yummy👌🏾 Great service, as always. The young man who served us, Daanish, was very pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to come back 🥰🥰🥰

Don't know what to make of the place honestly. Its marketed as an African restaurant but I would say that the menu is largely carribbean so don't really know why they've not branded themselves as that. I suspect it's not African nor carribean owned or operated and the lack of authenticity is the thing which sits weird with me I think because the actual food and service were good. Not authentic carribbean even but nice and enjoyable nevertheless. Its a nice venue, absolutely brilliant service from the young man serving us and the food was well cooked, nice quality and tasty. The one vegetarian meal was a lot smaller and less value for money than the meat option, which makes no sense to me and the veg patty was dry and tasteless but everything else was really nice. Its just a confusing message being served Carribbean food in an 'African' restaurant with no African input apparent and no African staff. It was also a slightly expensive bill for what the experience and the food actually delivered.

Our first time at this restaurant branch, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing especially the fried chicken, BBQ wings and halloumi cheese.
