Long time since dined here but service was very good. The cod and chips delicious and my wife has a kebab chip. All washed down with 2 x teas. I had peas with mine which were just on the firm side, but that's what teeth are for! I'll be back...
I wanted to give this place 5 stars on the food, but to be honest, it's just too greasy to eat every day for it to be a 5 star place.
The food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was awesome.
I wish they had some healthier options, but what they do is fried food and they do it bett

A place where you can order a fish bap and the staff won't look at you like your broken! Great fish, great chips, great chicken. Sit in or takeaway. Food consistently cooked perfectly. Up there with the best in East Belfast. Won't disappoint. Picture is a fish bap but I added a few ingredients.
The Bethany is a Belfast icon and comes with a well deserved reputation for great fish and chips. The food was great, my partner had the fish and chips I ordered one of the beef burgers with a pastie and some chicken bites to share. The only chip shop I would go to even when I lived in Newtownabbey or further afield I would go here. If Its shut then I would not go to an alternative. Its the bethany or nothing.
Was here today just got fish bites and chips. Chips were chunky, and tasty.
