Reviews The White Hart Inn

The pub is extraordinary in that the bar, the only drinking room, remains virtually unchanged since I first visited over 40 years ago. I love the old stained glass windows and the scrubbed deal tables, in particular. Children not allowed inside, although dogs are clearly welcome (not sure what that tells us?)There is a good yard behind the pub with benches and tables. A fairly recent addition (a few years) is the wood fired pizza oven in the yard. You are also welcome to bring in fish and chips from the adjacent shop providing you buy some drinks at the bar. More benches on the street in front of the pub which catch the afternoon sun. All in all, a very good place

What more could you want? For all those people who can remember the pubs of yesteryear - a truly "old fashioned" drinking establishment! No flashing machines, no loud music - just the best Adnams beer. Positively no people under eighteen allowed. That's it really; people who drink there - well there are all sorts - locals, people on weekend breaks etc. Take your pick, you'll always find somebody to talk too!

In the not too distant past there were many lovely pubs selling a good pint of beer. Times change and many are now closed or restaurants with perhaps a small bar where drinkers take play second fiddle to diners. The White Hart offers a single bar pub, dog friendly, roaring fire when cold, friendly staff and locals and above all, a superb pint of beer. And, if you do want to eat you can get an artisan made pizza around the back in the summer. Great pub.

This place is uniquely social and relaxing in a simple space that is full of atmosphere and character Very rarely does a pub achieve this so effortlessly. You can't roll this out to other pubs that try so hard. It's in its bones

I've been going to this pub since the early 80's and I love it. If you just want a pub with a bit of character that serves a great pint, then the White Hart is for you.

We are hoping to move to Aldeburgh soon so thought we'd check our the pubs. We loved this one. Dog friendly but no children in the bar. No aires and graces. Will definitely be making this our local if we manage to complete on the house purchase.

A great little pub with a beer garden. Plenty on eating options at either the pizzeria or next door fish n chips which goes perfectly with a beer

November and plenty of locals in at 11.30 opening - seven around one table and others down the other end. Three or four dogs in over two hours. Not a huge place being one room and good atmosphere. Excellent Adnams beer and cider (loved the winter special) and red wine 🍷. The bar lady (pink hair) had it all under control. Great experience. Thank you. ☂️🌦️ Outside!

Old pub with some rugby memorabilia on the walls. Adnams beers on tap and a pizza shack in the beer garden. Dog friendly and will allow outside food as long as you buy alcohol.

The pub sells beer. The pizza shack in the the garden sells great pizza. The chipper beside the pub sells delicious fish and chips. And the pub is happy for you to eat pizza or fish and chips in the garden (as long as you buy a drink from the pub). Happiness!

A proper pub! Was a great visit. The staff all had great energy and clearly enjoy their work. Drinks came fast with no issues, delicious. The pub itself is next to the Suffolk coast, near a famous chip shop. Great place to finish off after a walk. It was slightly busy though, and luckily for us some people quickly finished up their drinks for us and free'd up a table. Will be back. Thanks!

Pub in Aldburgh situated moments away from the seafront and right next to the famous Aldburgh fish and chip shop. You can eat F n C in the pub garden providing you purchase a drink on the premises. Very dog friendly.

Small pub on the high street with regular Adnams fare. The Break Point farmers style ale was very nice. Plenty of seating at the side and back of pub.
