The queues outside weren’t wrong. Ordered cod and chips and the sausages (which are actually sausages in batter)

A must visit every time we go to Aldeburgh. In fact, I look for excuses to travel there! In nice weather, you can find a place on the beach or on a bench and enjoy a sea view only 2 minutes away! Quality.
It's been a few years since our last visit, and I have to say, nothing has changed! The fish and chips are still deserving "the best fish and chip shop" award they had that few years ago. Haddock and chips, cooked perfectly and eaten sitting on the Aldeburgh sea wall... perfect!
Yum!! The family had some fish and chips here on our day out in Aldeburgh, prices aren't bad and the kids meal options includes a small fish and chips (as opposed to fish fingers or fish bites etc. that some other places offer). There was a fairly big queue when we got there, but didn't keep us wait
Waited around 30mins on Boxing Day but worth the wait. £16 for two medium cod and a large chips. So satisfying to eat at the freezing beach after a big walk.

One of the best fish and chip shop in this region. Each town in Suffolk we would dropped by to buy the fish and chip.. and others such as fish cake, mushy peas and all.

Phenomenal fish and chips. Amazingly fresh. Take them straight to the beach just 2 mins away and enjoy them with a view of the sea.

I visited the chip shop on recommendation from family friends, and it was worth it! Our fish (Cod and Scampi), tasted fresh and was a good size (we opted for medium). The portion of chips was plenty, as well. Do not be put off by the queue, the customer service was pretty quick!
This didn't disappoint. The cod was tender, chips just right. About 5 minutes waiting time for the plaice but friendly atmosphere give a chance for a quick chat with the other customers. Seating not provided.
