Moved into the area recently and this pub is literally a 8 minute walk for us so we have gone twice so far and both times have been pleasant. Reasonably priced drinks, lovely members of staff and a friendly atmosphere. I cannot judge on the food yet as unfortunately both times we've gone the kitchen has not been open, but the menu looks lovely and we definitely want to eat there soon.

After a poor customer service experience elsewhere, we chanced upon The Crown. Made to feel welcome by the lady at the bar the moment we stepped in, the food was incredible - Cajun chicken as good as we’ve ever had - and the customer service from the bar and restaurant was 11/10. We’ll be back regularly.

We had a great wedding party this weekend. The venue has loads of room for your event. The landlords are very helpful & get involved with the event. The interesting thing is catering can be organised but have a fish & chip van that visits the car park.

I was with my motorcycle club, and this was our booked lunch stop, I Didn't order a meal, as I was dining at home later, but I did order a blt, and a bowl of chips, what I didn't realise was that the blt came with a salad and dipping crisps, I was stuffed, the meal was delicious. Thanks to the very attentive staff, all meals were cleared, with empty plates, we will definitely be back. 😊

Welcome & friendly local pub. Staff are genuinely kind and very warm people. There's ample parking if you drive up the right hand side of the pub to the small carpark behind. The exterior is fresh and clean, with beautiful hanging baskets and good lighting. The furniture inside the pub is well laid out so tables aren't packed in and right on top of each other. There are a handful of tables out front and more in the beer garden. As a wheelchair user i can get round the pub easily. There is a disabled toilet with ramped access, bur you'll need your radar key for it. The only complaint I have is that often stuff is piled near it which has can make it tricky to access. There are further ladies and gents toilets that are clean bur somewhat dated. Menu is clear, and has something for everyone. The specials are great and their Thuraday night steak night is amazing value. Food is always hot on arrival and service is prompt. There's 1 pool table, 1 darts board and a couple of fruit machines which are ample for a pub of this size. Sporting events are shown live on a large screen TV and when the TV isn't showing an event its turned off in favour of music. Music is played at a level which is such that you can hear it in the background but don't need to yell over it to talk to your party. The bar provides a wide range of beers, ciders, wines and spirits. All the standard soft drinks are there and the bar small are well stocked. Prices for booze and food are pretty good for what you get too. If you are a believer in supporting local then the acton crown is definitely a great place to spend your money and show your support. Highly recommended!

I have eaten here many times over the past few years as part of a large group and had some excellent food. As it was half term I decided to treat my family including children, to lunch. We ordered them fish fingers & chips. There was no option for a veg (peas or beans or even salad)which would have been nice and the fish inside the fish fingers was grey and quite off putting. The quality of food available to adults is super but I couldn't say the same about the fish fingers on the children's menu.

Attended an after funeral get together here. The catering supplied was to be commended with a broad selection of food available which was delicious and very well displayed. Will return to give their evening meals a go as if what we had was a taster, will look forward to it.

I cannot recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back. Honestly one of the best places I have been to especially because of the pleasant and friendly local community. Thank you!!!!

Hi I just want to say a big thank you for your excellent service and care when we visited your pub recently. We were staying at Green Farm campsite and your pub was a gentle 20 minute walk. Not only were all staff very friendly but we were even given a bowl of water for our dog. So once again a big thank you and we will definitely be visiting again when we return to Green Farm in September
