Used to be good. But explained the guniess was off on my last visit only to be told "if you don't like it don't drink it!" so I left it and walked out. Some local pub!
Now started to do meals at lunchtimes and again from 4 pm Monday to Friday.Tried the steak and ale pie served with chips and mushy peas and was not disappointed with it everything is cooked to order and it is homemade also the beers and ales are kept in good order
Great staff, welcoming atmosphere. Fantastic selection of ales and gins. Bands at weekends, always something going on. Free pool and Jukebox night and an excellent weekly quiz.

Good breakfast. Not a vast selection of breakfast to choose from so we just had the full breakfast. Tasty. Good service. Friendly staff/manager.
