Hands down the best Sunday roast I have ever had, 10/10 for flavour and serving size. All staff were very friendly and we had a sway to the upbeat music playing. Very pleasant dining experience.

Visited today, it was fairly busy. The man taking orders and serving the drinks was on his own, he did a fantastic job. The food was excellent. We both had the Griffin burger, best burger I've had, was lovely. The sticky toffee pudding was fab too. Will definitely be back. 10 out of 10

What an absolutely wonderful find this place was!!! Visiting friends and just happened to come across Griffin's Head Sunday dinner time. Menu, Staff and food was exceptional. They catered for the 2 1/2 year old in our party of 5 and brought her little meal out first. My fiance and I opted for lamb shanks, and our friends opted for roast dinner and a sirloin steak meal. We'll definitely head back here next time we visit. Thank you to everyone for making our experience at your establishment a pleasant and friendly visit. See you soon!!

Firstly, a pat on the back to all the helpful staff here. Due to an error in booking at a different venue, six of us were suddenly desperately in need of an eatery at 7.45pm on a Friday night. Not easy when places stop serving much earlier these days. After a couple of curt responses from phoning elsewhere, The Griffin's Head stepped up with a can-do attitude and helped us out. Bless them! Not only that, but the added bonus was that the food was delicious. All six of us were delighted with our meals of steaks, gammon and chicken, and we had a great evening. Thank you salvaging our family meet up. We will be back.

Ordered the gammon and chips here and it was absolutely brilliant. Not many people cook a gammon as it should be cooked but these guys certainly know what they are doing. Great atmosphere, great service and great food all around. Nice touch with the kids activities 👌 great pint too

Thus place is amazing! We had the lamb and mint pie off the specials and it was the best pie ever! Thus is a place we always find our way back too as the food is outstanding every time, the staff are always polite and pleasant and have a laugh but remain professional. The establishment is very clean and welcoming. I cannot find any fault with this establishment whether your popping in for a drink in the beer garden or enjoying a meal... 5 star isn't a high enough rating in my opinion! Thanks to the staff for always making every visit unforgettable.

Called in as we had a couple of hours to wait in the area. Very happy we did - lovely welcome, very pleasant atmosphere, good food and very agreeable beer. Didn't take any arty photos, just an image of a meal being enjoyed. Cest la vie!

Visited this lovely pub for my Dad's Birthday, the staff were very friendly, accommodating, smiling and really couldn't do enough, we didn't have to wait for anything, but weren't rushed. The food was beautiful, tasty and generous main course portions. Many thanks, will visit again!

Four of us called in at the Griffin in Huncoat for an evening meal. I've heard good reviews about the Griffin so thought I'd pop in. Inside was well lit and cosy, we started with drinks while mulling over menu.To start ,we had soup of the day cajun spicy mushroom ,3 at £5.50 each, it was lovely. Next for main 1 Steak & Ale pie £12.50,1 Hunters Chicken £12.95, Brisket Sandwich £7.95 (brill) & 6oz Steak Burger £8.95 & extra Bacon & Cheese &1.95 and more drinks. The food was excellent and worth the visit . Total for meal & drinks £90 . So if you're passing call in its worth it

Staff are lovely and the food was tasty. Had the southern fried chicken burger, proper chicken breast not the minced stuff. Onion rings were nice and crispy. Would highly recommend and will come back again

Superbly prepared and presented dishes from a varied menu. Also, competitively priced for the standard of food. Service a little slow during a busy Friday lunchtime period - maybe marginally understaffed. Similarly, comparatively small car park, making parking difficult at a busy time. Definitely recommended and destination added to my preferred places.
