The pub does food on the weekend and is a friendly local during the week. Allows dogs. To get a wheelchair through the door is a bit of a faff but I have quite a wide one and it will go. You won't be able to get a Mid wheel drive chair in this pub. But if the weather is good you can use the side gate to use the garden. However, getting to the loo would be an issue. I can personally get my rear wheel drive in here. I've been able to get my Q200r, Esprit and also manual with Alber wheels. I think my Bora used to get in here too. But you do have a lip on the front door and also two front doors to get through. So you might need help. If locals are around they will usually help. The disabled to o in let is not really accessible just from the garden though. If you can abulate it's abot 4 steps in past the back door. If you can get in the front door then it's fully disabled. A small rubber ramp wouldn't cost a lot and they really could do with improving that factor. Otherwise the pub is a good one. Food. Well, that tends to depend on who the chef is at that time. At the time of writing the chef is decent. The pub has gentle music inside. Outside they have one game an a garden but it's going to be updated. The kids playground was pulled out and they are doing an outside bar there. Nice friendly local and a decent Sunday roast. Update: The pub is now doing weekday food and games night (snooker and pool) and it has Wings Wednesday where you can get gorgeous chicken wings at low price.

The chef here is amazing! Their cook is as great as good restaurants in London or Paris. I tried their Sunday roast Wiltshire loin steak and it is top notch. Nice place, nice staff. I have to thank them by this review.

A nicely layer out pub with plenty of seating inside and out. Staff are polite and friendly. The customers are a good mix of young and old. The drinks list is varied and the food excellent. There is a large car park put also a short walk to bus stop on main S6 bus route. We travelled there on S6 and had a pleasant evening with a great meal. Well worth the 15 minutes bus journey we took. Will definitely visit again.

This has to be the best value great food in the area. The food is consistently excellent at very reasonable prices. An interesting menu with thoughtful and creative dishes on it, all cooked really well. Gastropub doesn't do the food justice, it's a properly nice restaurant but at pub prices and in a lovely old pub setting where the actual pub part is still a real part of the esablishment. Waiting staff are always really friendly as well

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. The kitchen was closed but members of staff allowed us to bring takeaway from nearby shop. Excellent place for resting if you are cycling in that area.

We had a lovely lunch time meal in garden on 22nd April. The food was very good and the the G&T perfect. The staff were pleasant and helpful. As yet the garden is not the most attractive lunch place in the village, but I am sure they will get round to smartening it up. The present management have not long taken over,

New owners have done wonders to the pub and have adapted well despite opening during the pandemic. The takeaway menu they've put on during lockdown is really good! Can't wait to go there in person again when all this settles down (the only reason this review is missing a star - yet to get the in-house experience, watch this space!)

Delicious Sunday roast with 7 different fresh vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. Large portions and very reasonably priced. We were only passing through from Wales last Sunday and the proprietors, staff and regulars were very friendly. A roast you must definitely try. If ever I am up there again, I would certainly return. We highly recommend a visit.

The pub is under new ownership who’ve totally revamped the menu, wine offering and best of all the inside and out of the pub - totally revolutionising this once sleepy pub into a must for all locals and visitors. The food under lockdown has been 5 star and we can’t wait to visit when it’s back open fully. If you’re looking for a good meal and a good vibe anywhere in Oxford, this is it!
