Really good food and service. Plenty of food and drink options to choose from, even in future. I must remember to go for the Strawberry Bakewell, hopefully if it's available beyond 2 weeks, when I may next come.

We’ve only been when it’s sunny so we can sit outside to eat. Great menu choice, service and value. Always a steady stream of customers. Great patio area to eat.

Loving our new local, food always lovely, staff always really friendly.. but....! a new menu would be really good. I find myself having something off the specials board as same old menu, could also do with different puds (only saying!) Would always highly recommend 🍽 Xx

I love that I can always bring my dogs in and enjoy eating with them. This pub/resturant has always been one of my favorites, it's a little out the way but also such a peaceful walk from Abingdon! Highly recomened eating here with the family or just popping in for a pint after work!!!! Some great ales and wines, however I like the Estrella!! Such a nice tasting beer compared to some of the normal beers floating around

Not eaten at the Flowing Well for quite some time, and it's good to be able to report that we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Food was great, seating area inside very comfortable, and service excellent. Some of the dishes we had were: lamb shank roast, roast beef, fish & chips, harissa mackerel. Daughter gave the Mackerel dish 9/10. Lamb was lovely and tender. Strawberry and pear crumble went down well too It was very much appreciated that some of the dishes e.g the F&C's, were available as smaller portion options. Minor point, but the smaller portion beef roast was served on a plate which was not large enough. Price / head for drinks, mains, some desserts/ coffees, before tip, was £22-ish. Definitely be back. Bonus is a nice walk from Abingdon.

A lovely evening sat outside for dinner, we opted for the sharing platter for 3-4 people which ,according to their menu, is a “Butcher’s Cut Bavette Steak Cooked Medium-rare” There were 3 of us and we took home some leftovers (but not much) If you think the photo looks good i can promise that it tastes better; cooked and seasoned perfectly this is one of the best steak dishes you will find on Oxfordshire The side dishes do sometimes change with the seasons which makes it a good repeat dish to order and a favourite of ours. What’s more both the chips an onion rings could be GF for one of our party too Only thing to note is that this dish does take a while to prepare, so don’t arrive here too hungry.

Well worth a visit..I arrived tired and frazzled..had a quick nap wash and change then went in for the best fish chips n mushy peas I've had in a long time..plus a fine pint of Guinness and think any of the meals on their extensive menu would be just as tasty👍Staff were friendly (as were the locals) and helpful and premises were clean. I stayed overnight in the car park and had an excellent quiet night. Please note stopovers Monday-Thursday only as so busy.

Absolutely incredible food. I had the pulled pork bap with gluten free bun. Was honestly the best gluten free meal I’ve had since finding out I have coeliac disease. Partner had fish and chips which again was really good. All around, perfect lunch out!

Lovely place with great food and good customer service. The only issue is that the place needs a slope for wheelchairs and others who can not use the steps

A lovely pub (Greene King) in the middle of the Oxfordshire country lanes. Spacious, with car parking, outdoor eating and drinks. The beer selection was perhaps a little small given the size but staff were nice and welcoming. Food wise the meat was the draw, the burger was nice but the sharing steak platter (sizes go up from 2 to 3 to 4 people) is eye catching. Tasty and comes with a mountain of chips I feel a little quality is sacrificed for the quantity. It's really nice and worth stopping at, especially on a sunny day. Some walks are available nearby.

Had a lovely work meal here, held in a separate section of the pub. Food was delicious, Diet Coke tasted a little odd and had some difficulty achieving “no ice” on a not particularly warm evening, but otherwise the service was great: both friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed the meal overall and would gladly return in the future with my family. That’s partly because I wanted the cheesecake for pudding, so did my colleague next to me, and there was only one left! I think she enjoyed it and I had a very nice Black Forest profiterole instead. For main, I had the classic burger and fries that were both spot on. The side of onion rings were the pre-made ones with the oniony doughy stuff in the middle rather than slices of onion, so I wouldn’t order those again, but appreciate that could well be a personal choice aspect and it didn’t take away from the overall very pleasant visit.

A lovely pub, only gave 4* as felt the food was a bit overpriced. The service was great and friendly though, village feel and good parking. Good selection of drinks and the steak sharer was really cool!

A really lovely pub with tons of outdoor seating and great service. We have now been a couple of times and enjoyed both meals. The steak sharer was really excellent. We chose the 2-3 person sharer between two as we are big eaters and it was enormous! Very impressed. Would definitely recommend and will be back, for sure.

Pleasant service. Lovely food that is not pub chain fodder. Some vegetarian options. Never seen so many gluten free options, both main course and desserts. 2 cask ales. Nice pub. They permit one motorhome to stay overnight in their car park if using the pub.
