The Packhorse - Abingdon - Photo album

Booked a table to have a meeting of our project engineers to introduce three senior managers to the group. On the night we went mid week you could have walked in and got a table but I guess it has the potential for getting very busy. The car park is large as are the spaces with easy acces to the s
The food here is fantastic. Not a bad meal so far. We had a few starters to share for lunch and they were all excellent.
We booked for a large party to attend to celebrate my mums 60th birthday, from booking up until the day, the staff have been so attentive and have gone above and beyond. Emily and the team flew us away today, they decorated the room for us adding additional extra touches for us aswell as sorting pla
Outstanding service from Emily and the rest of the team at the Packhorse. Food is always beautiful to look at aswell as really reasonably priced and delicious. Emily went above and beyond with decorating the glass room for my mums 60th today, I was incredibly touched and all the staff were so attent
Overall very nice food and lovely staff however there was a hair in the tomato pasta which was a bit off putting.
My wife and I ate here Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, delicious and well presented food, service is quick and friendly. Well worth it. Thank you
One word 'Excellent' from walking in the door to a warm welcome to the fantastic food... get the salt and pepper squid stunning... great atmosphere and great beer.. definitely calling back when in the area (from Manchester) thank you very much..
Eating here was a great experience. The waitresses were attentive and service was great. The food tasted really good and the pub was quite busy so great atmosphere, but not too loud. The pub was convenient to where we stayed. Would definitely recommend
We were staying at a local hotel nearby, so we recently had the pleasure to dine at the restaurant here and had an amazing meal. The food was impeccable. I had ham croquettes, pork belly roast (with the best pub roasties I've ever experienced) and panacotta and Irish coffee for dessert. All staff we
Had a lovely meal here last night with family the food was excellent and great service. The bonus was that we picked this place at random out of the phone because we were only visiting the area overnight and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to eat
This pub preserves the style of the last century. The indoor is comfortable for folks to chat and the outdoor is comfortable to enjoy sunshine. The cod I ordered there was perfect. Nice dish!
Pulled off the A34 for food at 4.15pm Very accommodating staff gave us a table for 2 and a dog. Food didn't take long and was perfect. Tandoori chicken burger meal and steak burger meal and an amazing pizza garlic cheese bread. What a great stop. Would definitely recommend.
Took my Dad here for an early Father's Day meal (on the Saturday). There was 4 of us & we were all impressed with the efficient & friendly service, beautiful food and reasonable pricing. The toilets are worth a mention as they were so lovely. Would definitely recommend this establishment 😊
Excellent food, very good service.Because the food was cooked to order we had to wait longer than usual ,but well worth it. Definitely worth a visit.
Absolute gem! This place is even better than Michelin star! Specially recommend the scallops and venison they were the best I have ever had! This is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in the UK!
Excellent Sunday lunch. We had our dog so great we could be accommodated but did mean we weren't seated in the best place - and we hadn't booked.
I have to admit to never having set foot inside this place, but I have eaten their food. I was staying in the nearby Premier Inn, to attend a family funeral, and while my 11 year old autistic son was having a meltdown over choosing somewhere to eat, I sent my extremely stressed husband and sister to
