Fantastic food. We ate bar snacks on the Saturday whilst watching the FA cup final. The Jalepenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon were delicious as was the scotch egg. The range of drinks is impressive and I got great advice on choosing a new gin to try. My partner loved the Symonds cider too. In the evening there was live music and the place was rocking. We enjoyed everything so much that we returned on Sunday for lunch which did not disappoint! I highly recommend. If you value freshly prepared, tasty grub and excellent personal service...this is truly a special place to visit.
Amazing food. Had the salmon from the specials menu. Fantastic. Beer is great too and staff ate lovely. Highly recommend this pub for food and drink!
Came to The Brewery Tap for a meal - it was AMAZING - best meal we have had in a long time. Highly recommend you try it
Great menu selection, we were spoilt for choice! Lovely atmosphere in this pub and we were made very welcome. Service was spot on and I’m sure it won’t be long before we’re back to try some more delicious food.
The best Sunday lunch around, nice staff, cosy pub. Book in advance or you’ll be disappointed you missed it :)
Fantastic roast, great staff, service is as good too. Nothing is too much trouble. Great pub with really good live music.
Staff are amazing! Especially charlotte .. looks after us the minute we walk in until we leave food is delicious! great pub over all! My new fav pub in Abingdon
One of the best pubs in Abingdon. Wonderful supporters of live music. Great selection of beers and great staff.
I love this pub, great food, great music and fantastic staff.
Great atmosphere, nice range of beer taps and good gin! Also, the food is very good! Best pub in Abingdon!
Great selection of beers and ciders and ribs to die for
Friendly pub, great food and plenty of it.. I couldn't finish main course as there was so much ... I had pulled pork it was delicious.. will definitely visit again! 😁
Real tasty food , had a fantastic meal. Definitely go back .Julie & Martin Thatcham
A great local pub and one of few independent ones in Abingdon. I can vouch for the Sunday roasts being excellent - probably the best I've ever had when I visited last year. Love that the ingredients are locally sourced.
Selection of drinks is excellent, with some less-common largers on tap and local spirits too. You can also find pub quizzes and live music every week.
Highly recommend for anyone passing by and who is eager to support high quality independent pubs.
Rooms are nice however, lorries driving past the window of the large room felt like an earthquake from 3am. Help yourself continental breakfast was OK but the Coffee machine was great!
In the bar a great selection of beers although fairly pricey! Food was incredible, I had three starters and we're all great! The mushrooms in Stilton sauce were class!
We stayed here for a friends wedding and were so pleased. The room was perfect and they had all the amenities (including conditioner!). There was a free continental breakfast included where you could help yourself, and the lady cleaning the rooms was so helpful and friendly. We ended up having lunch here too and it was great, would highly recommend!
Had some great drinks here. It had a really nice cozy atmosphere and we'll definitely be back to try to menu, which looked very tasty!
Great spot! My husband and I were in town for work and came by for dinner on a Sunday evening. The live music was a treat! She was really good and played some great songs. Very friendly service, great beers, and delicious food. Was exactly what I wanted.
Sadly I'm not local to Abingdon, as it's an excellent pub. A great selection of real and craft ales, and excellent food to go with it. The previous times I'd been here, 4 years ago, I had the Beef Brisket, and I had it again this week 😀
Enjoyed a midweek birthday celebration dinner. Called ahead to book a table for 4, with wheelchair access, just to be on the safe side! Good job we did as it was quite busy, with a great atmosphere. The staff were excellent, very friendly, thoughtful and professional.
Excellent selection of cask ales and some tasty lagers, so both myself and my son-in-law were very happy.
Food was also first class, with an amazing selection of freshly baked pies!
Wheelchair access is good, via the front door. There is a low step, but it’s easily negotiated.
Bottom line, loved everything about this place and will definitely go again and again!
Be sure to book as the kitchen is very busy and you don’t want to miss out on the pies!!!
We discovered this pub when our daughter was training near by. We have been in a few times whilst we waited for our daughter. As soon as you walk in you notice the lovely atmosphere. On Sundays they have live music and the selection of drinks and award winning ones, along with always being busy made us want to come back for dinner.
We booked for Sunday evening with our puppy Luigi. We had a perfect evening. The staff are always friendly and relaxed providing great service. The food blew us away. We chose the sharing menu which included ribs, southern chicken with fries, coleslaw,Boston beans and ordered the beef chilli nachos. Between us three it was enough and absolutely delicious 😋
We stayed for just over a few hours which also made it so lovely as well. We will definitely be back and thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well and Ryan who came and chatted with us and made us feel so welcome. We can't wait to come back!
If I didn’t live 2.5 hours away this would be my local for sure. Great vibe, amazing food all my favourite beers, friendly staff, good garden bar. It has it all.
Lovely pub, great food, great service, decent drinks selections. Not too pricey for the portions too.
Friendly service, good sized portions and bonus of live music in the sunshine when we visited. Beer was good too. Happy days.
Decent range of beers (well kept). Friendly staff. More of a standard pub atmosphere than a brew tap.
Super food, very generous portions and great service and atmosphere. Look forward to coming back when we're next in Abingdon.
Don't let the location (busy main road) fool you. Excellent pub with plenty of atmosphere, good staff and great selection of food and drinks on offer. We stopped in for a couple of drinks after a dog walk (yes it's dog friendly) and ended up staying for food. We had the chili nachos and salt & pepper chicken wings both we great and generous portions! A great 'local' to have.
Awesome pies and BBQ selection. Didn't stay so not rating the accommodation
Very nice bar. The food I like it a lot and a very good beer selection.
Great place and great food. We went there for Christmas lunch and it was lovely. I ordered the turkey roast, and it was delicious. The turkey was tender, mashed potatoes was in perfect condition (not too mashed, creamy but overwhelming). The vegetables was definitely overcooked. Normally, I prefer to eat my vegetables when they are still crispy tender, but this was so overcooked that it was hard to eat without them falling apart. The star of the show way definitely gravy. I don't know what they put on the gravy, but it was very delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially burgers got a lot of praise. I also really liked the decorations. Next time, I am definitely trying their burgers!
Third time visited this pub which used to be a brewery. Nice vibe about the place. Good menu, food, reasonably priced and wide selection of beers.
Service at lunch was welcoming and efficient.
Small amount of parking on site, larger car park short walk away.
Went there for a very good diner. Good food and excellent service. Well done.
