I felt compelled to write a review. I don’t leave reviews very often. Not local to the area, staying nearby. Hands down the best roast dinner/ Sunday lunch I have ever had. Everything was so flavourful. Beef was tender. Everything homemade, best roasties I’ve ever had, crispy and soft in the middle
Firstly we had a good welcome. Then the food was outstanding. Starters were plentiful and tasty. (Only possible criticism was the Thai soup was more of a curry soup, but still very good). Steaks were perfectly cooked, full of flavour. Would highly recommend this place.
Had a lovely meal, pie, mash, peas and gravy. It was really tasty and a good amount too, the cost wasn't cheap but it wasn't too expensive either. I would definitely recommend this pub.
Fantastic food with great service! Booked a table for Sunday lunch yesterday purely based on website reviews, couldn't have made a better choice. We arrived as a group of 13 instead of 12 but accommodating us was no problem, neither was the group having a mixture of starters, main courses and sweets
Ate here for lunch two days in a row and it’s sensational! Chef Ludo is one of the best in the business. First lunch, we had the specials including pigeon and guinea fowl. Today we had the Sunday roast. This place is a must for anyone from near or far! Very friendly and welcoming staff too
What a fantastic little gem! We had Sunday lunch here during a recent weekend stay nearby. The welcome was very warm and friendly, the interior is lovely and the staff very helpful. They catered for my food allergies and even sorted out additional things with prior warning. I was shocked to be offer
The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable regarding my daughter's Coeliac disease. There were several options on the menu but my daughter said she wanted a lasagne, so upon request the chef delivered and it was amazing. Thank you for catering so well for my daughter's needs and making her feel
New refurbished destination dining pub. Lovely host Margaret, fantastic , freshly cooked food. Lamb rump is absolutely to die for, steaks cooked to perfection. Good selection of wine and beer. A lovely place to visit. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and stunning views.
This is a place worth travelling to. It's really nicely done up, and the food is extremely high level - amongst the absolute best experiences I've had in many years of eating around these parts. There's the usual pub classics like gammon with egg and pineapple which are flawlessly executed plus some
