Had an excellent overnight stay here, our room was the family room (15) overlooking the sea, it was so relaxing a fabulous view We chose to eat in on Sunday evening and the food didn't disappoint, homemade chilli was delicious Our room couldn't be faulted, extremely clean, bathroom spotless and really comfortable The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed an yummy breakfast this morning. Highly recommend this place and we had a lovely sunny day! Thank you for our wedding anniversary celebration 👍🏽

Frequented this 2 nights running, 2nd night decided to have a meal as well as drinks, probably the best pub in Aberystwyth for both drink and food, quality of the food was superb, plenty of real Ales available along with other drinks, price of meals and drinks were reasonable, will be back again in the near future. Thoroughly enjoyed our food here again - I have to say (apart from my Mum's) it's the best Steak Pie I've had. They were very busy & we were told that food would be about half an hour but it came in twenty & was delicious!! I would definitely recommend The Glengower to anybody!! xx❤️xx

The Glengower excellent pub, good food great atmosphere, lovely view of seafront and dog friendly!.. It will be hard to find a better pub that combines a great menu for light bites or a full 3course meal served all day. The Glengower also has a wonderful selection of beers with weekly specials available. The atmosphere during the 6nations rugby was brilliant and for those that didn't fancy watching the sport, the lounge area has a splendid view of the seafront ideal for quiet pint and or a chit chat. Can't fault this bar/hotel. For me one of the best places to unwind in Aberystwyth. If you have a well behaved dog that's also not a problem you'll find treats on the bar and bowl of water for the paw weary pooches!... 10 out of 10!..

Having had some superbly served ales in the afternoon decided to return for our evening meal. Menu was a good range of choices and prices. Staff were friendly and attentive. Watched the Sun set into the sea from our table. Can't wait to come again!

Popped in for lunch with family. Polite helpful staff. Nice sun terrace or sit in. Dog friendly inside too. Decent menu, fair prices, good food. Nice choice of beers, some well known and some local. Clean and tidy. Toilets downstairs didn't notice a disabled one, maybe I just didn't notice. Steps to front door too. No car park, so on street parking nearby. Gets busy ,so reservations maybe good idea.

5 of us turned up at lunchtime on a rainy Saturday when everywhere was packed. They found us a table quickly, service was fast and friendly. Dirty Bratwursts were very messy, but very good. Burger was great, trout and risotto was cooked really well and a great sized portion. Great location on the seafront. The only negative (for them) is that they're quite far down towards the end of the promenade, so people may not find them.

Room viewed the ocean, the boardwalk was a walking experience, met many locals and made great conversation. They also have insights to other sites that may not have caught your eye. They also make a great rump steak sandwich. Down the street the is a tram up the hill for great views. There are things for the kids after 11AM.

Lovely pub. Warm friendly staff which were able to fit us in for a 'walk-in' Sunday roast. Quite a large portion for my 5 year old to attempt, but he enjoyed the pork and leek sausage, mash and potato with gravy.

We were only there for one night, but it was an enjoyable stay. The staff were attentive, professional and polite. We were happy with our rooms. Both had a nice view of the sea, beach and pier. The hotel is at one end of the promenade, which was lovely and quiet. The rooms themselves were large. The double room had a large sn suite bathroom. We had an evening meal there, which was delicious. The staff were able to accommodate us, even though we had not booked a table. We were grateful for this, as we had been travelling for over 4 hours.

We can't wait to return to this hotel - simply delightful. The team is the beating heart of this place and every single one of them work tirelessly to make your visit perfect; nothing was too much trouble. The food is exceptional. You're spoilt for choice and the quality, portion sizes and presentation nail every aspect. We ate breakfast lunch and dinner across our stay and whilst the town has some lovely places to eat and drink out at, if you only did so here you will not be disappointed. We had a lovely Seaview room which was extremely clean and well appointed with tea, coffee, chocolate and bottled water as well as extra pillows and blankets if required. My only niggle is the lack of dedicated parking which resulted in playing musical car parking places (4 hours permitted on the seafront but no return within 4 hours) but don't let this put you off. Thoroughly recommend the hotel and commend the team for a fantastic stay - thank you.

Had a meal tonight and took 2 dogs with us. It was superb. Food is expensive but there was plenty of it. Couldn't fault the service. I recommend anyone visiting Aberystwyth should eat here.

Beautiful place with lovely views, we visited for dinner so unable to comment on hotel stay. The weather was fabulous so seating outside was busy but plenty of places inside, we arrived earlier than previously booked and it was no problem at all. Surprisingly dog friendly inside and out, the menu was superb and the food was served promptly and was hot and delicious, not overly expensive. Highly recommend and will definately visit again.

Wonderful seaside restaurant in Aberyswth. Went for lunch with a good-sized group. We had a range of apps, mains and desserts; all were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very large but with cozy, attractive dining areas. There is also outside seating along the front. Two bars that serve a good selection of beers, ciders, wine and mixed and soft drinks. Extensive menu. It was tough to choose from among the tasty options. It is especially accommodating for children (eg. good steak and appropriately sized portions for all selections). Very friendly and attentive staff. Service was very good and timely. The Glengower is definitely a go-to place for dining in Aber.

Been staying here a couple of times a year for the last 3 years and have not been disappointed. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Really good food, both the breakfasts and the restaurant in the evening - which is well attended by the locals so that speaks volumes for the place. Excellent value too & well worth paying the extra for a seaview room if one's available.

Both unfortunately and fortunately I didn't get a picture 😂 Had the sea bream here, and it was absolute delicious! Really fresh ingredients, I beleived very quick service as it was a busy day, and friendly staff! It's more toward the end of the beach which I feel was a plus because it make you want to walk the whole way down 😁 loved it and will definitely be back!

Very memorable stay at the seaside room! Had a refreshing glass of cider and a delicious vegan English breakfast the next morning. Although I loved the purple gnocchi, it would be lovely to have more vegan dinner options.

Really nice place to eat and have a pint. Friendly staff and comfortable bar overlooking the seafront with brilliant sunsets. Have dined here a few times now when returning Grandson to university and it has never disappointed. Particularly liked the Butty Bach steak pie which is filled chock a block with tender steak. Thoroughly reccomend.
