Lovely view, great food and wine. Nice place to visit on a sunny day but ok on a rainy day as can sit under cover with cosy blankets and people heaters.

Great location for relaxing surrounded by beautiful veiws of the Blorenge and Deri mountains and of course the vineyards. We sampled a couple of Welsh wines, mixed platter and cake to finish all of which were delicious. Highly recommend this place.

We had a very relaxing couple of hours at this beautiful location. Sampled the wine which was crisp, floral, tasty and accompanied our delicious mixed cheese and meat platter perfectly. It's always friendly and very well run. We will be back soon.

The hidden gem in the beautiful hills of Abergavenny. On a sunny day, there can't be many better places to sit and chillax with a nice glass of wine or a Welsh cider.

The tomato soup was warm and hearty, we also had the mixed platter which came with really good olives and chutney. I don't drink much, so the 25ml wine sampler was perfect for me to try out all the local wines! And at £5 it was a no brainer to try them out.

Lovely late lunch on the veranda beside the babbling brook overlooking the vineyard with the mountains in the background. It's good to be alive. Great place to reward yourself with after a walk up the Sugar Loaf in the morning. A very rare Welsh Red wine on the menu.

Visited the vineyard this past weekend & enjoyed it. We didn't book & were very lucky that they were able to fit us in. We tried the blush, & some cake, & both were lovely - we even purchased 2 bottles to take away with us! Would definitely recommend a visit.

My wife and I stopped here after climbing the Sugarloaf for refreshments and light lunch. Second time we have visited and have enjoyed it both times. It doesn't sell hot food other than toasted sandwiches. Sells sandwiches and platters based on local produce, cakes and hot/cold soft drinks along with their own wine. You can make reservations. Good value for money in our opinion and a very beautiful setting.

Just had a 4 day stay in the holiday cottage at Sugar Loaf Mountain Vineyard. The cottage is fully equipped and very comfortably furnished. The cafe/ restaurant is located in a beautiful vineyard, and the wine is extremely good! The proprietor louise is very friendly and helpful . The location is beautiful and scenic, with a short drive to the main town of Abergavenny where a varied selection of shops and a supermarket are situated. I will absolutely recommend this location to stay and enjoy the beautiful scenery and walks as well as the warm welcome given by the people who are local 😀 xx

The vineyard self tour leaves a lot to be desired at this time of year (April), there is not much to see, perhaps a board would be useful with pictures of the vines/grapes in full growth and information on the process. We were booked in for a wine tasting and sharing platter for 2pm, but we were early due to the poor self tour, however our table was ready. The rest of the afternoon was faultless, lovely wine, delicious food and excellent service. Would recommend, but in a month when the vines are in full bloom.

[FULL REVIEW] I attended today for my brother's stag do. A delightful setting with impressive scenic views. It's hidden away in the outskirts of Abergavenny and has a lot to offer. The food was very tasty and drinks rather refreshing. The customer service could be improved upon with regards to the overall confidence of the staff and knowledge of the servicess provided. This is not a criticism of the staff themselves who tried their best but of management as ultimately staff performance and training is their responsibility. Examples of this being what a flat white coffee consists of and payment options with regards to acceptable cards. Everyone is learning on the job so overall this did not detract from the positive experience but a noteworthy point in my opinion. The toilet room was quite sweet however the toilet could be touched up a little so that flushing the toilet feels a bit classier. Granted, the experience of making a deposit isn't a spiritual retreat, but it would just add to the experience. I myself had the brie and cranberry toastie which honestly was perfect. Not too hot and the blend of flavours ideal. The value for money was great and if anything I'd have been comfortable paying more.. The cider, and coffee were high quality, though unfortunately I had to ask for the coffee twice - an exception to an otherwise quick service overall. The wine perfectly adequate. When we had finished our booked reservation time a member of staff was very polite in requesting we sit elsewhere to accommodate their next booking. This was quite lovely as I got to enjoy the views more. Overall I would highly recommend coming! A fantastic place to have lunch with friends or family. Thank you for such a positive experience :)
