Much better than expected.
The place looks a little run down, but to be fair they've only just reopened after a long lockdown. The staff were super friendly and approachable. The food was freshly made and great value. Simple pub grub but what's wrong with that?
Keep the menus small and the food home
This establishment is definitely old school in every sense of the word.
Travel back in time to the 70's. Quirky decor, Toby jugs a plenty and more autographed photos than you can shake a stick at.
The 80+ proprietor pulls no punches, we popped in for a drink and were presented with place mats and a
We stopped here in our campervan for dinner and an overnight stay. The staff were super welcoming and we had a lovely and very reasonably priced home-cooked meal. The pub itself was like stepping back in time and filled with lots of very interesting sports memorabilia. Thank you for your kind welco
Staff couldn't be anymore helpful, very generous portions, cooked beautifully and an excellent service, could not rate it enough! When our taxi arrived a little earlier than expected, the staff went out to offer the taxi driver hot drinks and snacks which was a lovely gesture given it was freezing

Absolutely love this place the owner is a lovely old man with a life time of stories and the pub itself is steeped in history. The food is fantastic and value for money and the views from the windows are to die for. If you're lucky you'll also see the pictures on the wall move and fall on the floor

This pub is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, with impressive views over the nearby valley.
My meal included a Cow Pie, which was one of the best pies I've had for taste, size and filling - if you're a pie lover, you must taste this!

What a gem of a place.
we have just been for a meal with my brother and sister in law who came to visit us for the weekend from Rotherham South Yorkshire.
We booked a table after reading the reviews. Well they were not
wrong. The food was absolutely delicious all freshly cooked to perfection. The
Found this beauty of a place on a pubstopover website as I wanted to stay with my T5 camper. A nice level carpark in a very quiet area with lovely views to wake up to.
I didn’t have any food as I arrived quite late, but looking at others reviews I wish I had.
Amanda and Neil were looking after the
I have eaten at the Racehorse pub since I was 13 years old. I have never had a bad meal there, and now I am in my 40s I still eat there regularly. My kids enjoy the food, and Ron is an absolute gentleman. Nothing is too much trouble and he takes the time to talk to you and have a general conversatio
