Penhelig Arms Hotel - Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) - Photo album

I have eaten and drunk here several times, always accommodating. The beer is good and well kept ale. choice is limited but what they do have is clean and the gold is particularly fine. Food is good high end pub grub rather than fine dining but that doesn't take anything away from it as its very tast
The Penhelig Arms provides first rate food and drink and we always call in when in Aberdovey. Nice beer garden overlooking the estuary providing fantastic views. Their Rev James bitter is one of the best ales I`ve ever tasted and perfectly kept.
What a lovely place, sat outside admiring the beautiful view over the inlet, while having a sharing starter that was excellent for the 3 of us, ours mains were perfect for us, so much so we had to have pudding too. The service was excellent too, very quick and very pleasant, crossing the road to get
Sunday lunch very tasty and reasonable value. Great character pub with original features. Service okay but some waitress staff need to attend to requests. Also at times to many dogs around nice cooked food.
We visited Aberdovey for a week. Visited the pub at least 5 times and had food twice. Had a meal in the restaurant on Friday evening. The food was excellent. The surroundings very very nice. The lady who served us was great. She was so helpful and happy. A lovely lady. The bar staff were excellent.
Fantastic little get away, aberdovey is so calm and peaceful, the penhelig is such a nice cosey hotel we stayed in room 4, the room was quite small but very cosey with a fantastic view of the estuary, there is a public car park just down the road next to train station which you can park on over nigh
Thank you for a fantastic experience at the Penhelig Arms! We started with drinks on the terrace with an amazing view in the evening sunshine. The food was amazing. There were lots of interesting choices for vegans and vegetarians which were delicious. The price was great too. Good friendly effici
Lovely pub with some quality real ales and a good selection of food. I had the pie of the day and couldn't fault anything other than I could have eaten a lot more, it was excellent. Only downside was that it was a windy evening and the catch on the entrance door wasn't working so every gust of wind
Meal selection was a little disappointing as 2 dishes we wanted were sold out. Food was cooked nice and good quality. Sausage and mash needed veg! Asked if came with any and told no and not offered any. Should be served with greens or at least offer a veg side to order. Staff were polite. No me
A very nice experience at this cosy establishment. The food was excellent, we had a party of 13 and everyone really enjoyed their food. A lot of steak was consumed! The price was also very reasonable. Highly recommend it if you're in the area!
