Best fish and chips I have had for a long time!
Bought the jumbo haddock supper and was impressed that jumbo was actually jumbo! Great tasting fish and the chips were a 10/10 for me. Looking forward to my next chipper from them.
We were looking for a fish and chip shop in aberdeen and decided to visit fish n hook. Best fish and chips for a long time! Lovely light batter and the freshest fish. The fish cakes were well flavoured and homemade very tasty. good sized portions we will be back on our next trip up to Aberdeen.
A previous reviewer wrote the fish n' chips here were "to die for." So, on our way back to Edinburgh, we detoured to Aberdeen so our fish loving friends could taste for themselves. It's true, they said. This is the best. A single serving of the lightly battered haddock is enough to feed two adults.
It is probably the best chippy I’ve tried. Deserve to have won the best chippy in Scotland. We ordered
- Scampi 5* out of 5
- Haddock 4*
- Onion rings 4*
- Macaroni pie 3*
- Fish cake 2* (too much potatoe. Hardly any fish)
Despite taking 25mins to reach our destination, the batter was still crispy.
Great fish and chips, only take out with huge portions.

Superb..Fantastic..Awesome… are just some of the words that have to be used while we talk about Fish ‘N’ Hook. Out and out the best chipper in Aberdeen and I would go as far as to say Scotland!!!.. I’ve never had a chipper like it!!!… And if you don’t believe me… then go see for yourself!!!!!
Partner is coeliac. The fish and chips here are amazing, regular customers. Would recommend this fish and chip shop to all. Food at its best

Got Fish and Chips, Chicken fillets and King Ribs and chips.
Far superior to Stonehaven's 'The Bay' in its beautifully crispy, but not too dry batter, tender fish and a balance of flavour.
This is a take out only restaurant, often times we only manage to take 10 steps outside the restaurant and eat it on the street. Because its that delicious! Tastes good..you don't get that bleh feeling after eating like you do with most chippers in Aberdeen. They must use better oil to fry with.
