Went for a meal tonight and was absolutely brilliant, staff were polite and friendly place was nice and calm really nice relaxed atmosphere, food was amazing, I had lasagne my partner had a fish platter couldn't fault it at all xx

Go there quite a lot. Staff always very polite and friendly. Nothing too much bother for them. Food always of a high standard. But does need a refurb as that's what lets it down otherwise a great place. Would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely very reasonably priced meal, with free drinks included at the Black Dog. Rob was extremely welcoming and helpful, as all the staff have always been when we've visited. The food is always lovely. Two of our group have mobility issues, one in a wheelchair. Easy wheelchair access and disabled facilities.
I was up from Batley in Yorkshire for the weekend to visit my family here in Aberdeen and the Black Dog was recommended as an ideal place for us all to get together for Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint, Id like to thank Ewan and bar staff for their excellent service also the chef who catered for 16 of us, we found the meals to be excellent both in proportion and in taste, this was my first visit to the Black Dog and hope to return again on my next visit to the lovely city of Aberdeen.

Decided to pop in for lunch and glad we did. Plenty of choices and drink included with main meals. Can’t wait to go back and try something new.
I recently visited The Black Dog for the first time as the food had been recommended to me by friends, and it didn't disapoint. I'm vegetarian and there was so much for me to choose from. The service was fantastic especially from Rob who made it feel like such a welcoming place. Me and my friends will be back again soon!
Was told by one staff member that no dogs were allowed in but yesterday I saw one in have you changed the rules
The Black Dog is a cracking local pub in Aberdeen. The warm welcome from a super friendly team made the visit even more enjoyable, Rob and Kat really looked after us. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. There is a great selection of drinks and looks like they have live music at the weekends. Great pub and can’t wait to visit again.
Good food, although there was limited choice as the chef was off. The two boys were kept busy and service was good and friendly as ever. Nice biscoff sundae also and a wee wine 🥘🍷👍🏼. I'm sure we will ba back again.

A regular haunt for good value grub and drinks from friendly staff in a pleasant lounge bar. Not a luxury place, but doesn't pretend to be. We'll keep going back, knowing full well the value we'll get for our money 👍
We had a great family meal at The Black Dog tonight. It has a small dining area with a cosy atmosphere. The food was all very good and very tasty. We had three mains, three drinks and two desserts all for less than £30! But don't let the price put u off. The food is really very good. Staff were all lovely and helpful.

Visited with friends for lunch. There were 7 of us. Hadn't been there for ages.
Lots of choices on the menu. We all really enjoyed our meal.
The waitress who served us was excellent. Friendly and helpful and clearly enjoyed what she was doing.
We are planning to return in October and are considering booking a pre Christmas Lunch in December.
We had a function in the lounge and it was excellent. The food was fantastic and the service we received was spot on, especially Rob who looked after us. Will definitely return soon!
