I was staying in the are to visit some castles the next morning. The rooms are much more spacious then I expected. The restaurant too was amazing I didn't know Scottish people aside from ramsay himself could cook this good. The steak I had was filling and the cooks made it exactly the way I like it
I had a fantastic dining experience at The Wellington. The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was delightful. A big shout-out to our server, Vincent, for his exceptional service. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!
The food was brilliantly delicious. The staff was so nice and delightful. They helped accommodate me in every regard. It's was such a pleasure to dine here. I will be back on a weekly-monthly basis. CHEERS !!!!!!!
My recent visit to The Wellington was exceptional. Everything from the service to the mood and feel was top-notch. I can't say enough about the haddock I had, it was truly amazing. Highly recommend!! Xx
I travel up from Edinburgh a few times a year to visit friends and family. Only recently discovered that the Wellington has rooms. This will be the place I stay at from now on. You can’t beat the location and especially the rates. Absolutely first class from top to bottom and the staff are excellent
What a lovely place to visit for dinner.
The food was lovely, the service was very friendly and the pub was really well set out.
The facilities were clean and obviously looked after well.
Overall, a lovely experience and would recommend to anyone passing.
Popped in for an evening meal on a Tuesday night. Very welcoming. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful, checking everything was okay with meal and drinks etc. Would recommend.
Enjoyed our meal here but it was spoiled by over enthusiastic staff rushing us into placing our order. The whole evening felt like a whirlwind with no time allowed between courses. We were out to enjoy our meal as our evening's entertainment but felt the aim was to get us in and then out again ASAP.
So many positives to our stay that I'm sure il miss some out,I unfortunately can't remember everyone's names but the staff that took care of us for a few days were just amazing,nothing was a problem for them,always smiling and friendly,our dog Rolex was treated like a king,the staff are all dog love

Having revisited the Welly after 3 years I was pleasantly surprised to find it had improved from my previous outing.
The staff were very helpful and gave me a burger that wasn't on the menu as I didn't want it loaded with things.
The food was very good, especially the burger.
Rooms are pretty basic. But big plus for modern TV capable to mirror smartphone screen. Really tasty food. Good beer.
The food was fantastic. I would've given 5 stars but I took a star off because they had instant coffee on the breakfast bar 🤮
