Amazing service and tremendous food! Seriously recommend this place for somewhere different with a rather cool image.. Prices are reasonable too. I'll be back!
Great atmosphere, delicious food and attentive service. Above all, it’s just a little different and a great addition to Aberdeen!
Good first visit here. Came for restaurant week, service was extremely quick. Food was delicious, steak cooked exactly as asked. Very busy, would recommend booking a table.
My friend and I loved the perfectly-cooked and delicious food, creative cocktails, but most of all, the super friendly and prompt service from Caitlin. She’s a star and made our dining experience a pleasure.
We had a reservation at another restaurant that closed the kitchen early. Tired and hungry we asked the kitchen at the hotel (Chop Grill) if they could accommodate us (10 people) at 9pm on a Friday, it was not a problem.
They fixed a table for us and served superb food. Service was attentive and fast, food was excellent! We ended up eating here two days in a row.
Good selection of beer, nice seating and great for watching sports.
Their attention to our friend with special dietary needs was exceptional!
Really friendly staff and service. The food was better than average. The booths have the feel of an American diner / sports bar with large screens pumping out constant sports scores and interviews.
In the centre there are cocktails being made, shaken, stirred all in.
So overall really good experience. My guest had Calamari and then Classic burger and they were both excellent according to his aggressively omnivore diet. I had veggie options. It always makes me laugh when people assume I'm the meat eater out of two.
Wasn't over keen on the sachets of sauce, for the price. I'd expect a small vessel laden with the best quality sauces.
The beer was too fizzy. Not sure that's a criticism!
Overall a good, solid experience.
Excellent service and a really nice restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the steak bites for a starter and it was fantastic. Our waitress was very polite and looked after us well. Will definitely be back.
Out with the family as part of the local restaurant week we went to the Sandman for our first visit to the Chop Grill , the setting is really nice and the young staff were friendly and efficient, drinks were quickly served including the impressive Mexican Bulldog . The food was excellent , I had the haggis bonbons followed by the Mango Chicken and they were both great but the food envy kicked in after trying the sons steak bites starter and the gf's ginger beef bowl which were both really impressive , will try both when we come back , 1 star knocked off for some poor service - forgetting a starter , forgetting the cutlery for the mains and having to ask about the whereabouts of various drinks orders but the quality of the food and the ambiance of the setting transcends the small issues , well recommended and we will be back.
My brother-in-law invited the family to the chop grill & bar inside the Sandman signature hotel for my sister's 30th birthday
I was very impressed with the entrance when we came in, it was very stylish, and I was struggling to decide what to look at first.
Food and drinks
There was a great choice on the menu lots of dishes I never heard of and look forward to trying more meals in the future.
The restaurant managed something impossible there was more than one choice on the menu for my grammar which is never heard of when we're taking her out, and she didn't complain about the meal and is looking forward to coming back.
My sister had the fish tackles and loved them. She was said she'd been looking for ones that were as good as the one in America and couldn't find any in Aberdeen so another fantastic thing there.
We all enjoyed our meals; it was of very high quality, and the service was excellent.
They have lots of exciting weekly deals which we would like to try in the future.
We all tried some new drinks, and there was such a variety of things and some drinks we had never even seen before.
It was on the expensive side, but the quality of the food and drinks was excellent, so it was worth it.
Accessibility
I have no problem getting into the restaurant and getting myself seated in the restaurant in my wheelchair.
The disabled bathroom was excellent and plenty of room to transfer. There's only one thing missing, and that is a bar on the back of the inside door as it can be tricky to close the toilet door when in a wheelchair.
The staff and restaurant.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. We did have a few times when we struggle to get a staff member attention to order stuff, but they always apologise for the inconvenience.
The place was clean and tidy, but there was some detail cleaning I think they could brush up on like the Chrome and the mirrors were a bit smudge.
The whole family were saying that they would love to come back for another meal; so we will be coming back in the future.
Always a great place for atmosphere when watching sport on the big screens. Food is consistently good and waitresses are always very pleasant. The Freedom whisky bar is a great place to chill.
Absolutely fantastic quality food. Service was outstanding from Abraham and his colleagues. Venue is of the highest quality in terms of decor.
Think they should relax the rule about kids in the bar as would be nice to be able to sit there with the kids before being seated.
Travelled from Canada and met up with my Canadian friend who lives in Aberdeen who wanted a bit of home so we visited this Canadian restaurant chain in Aberdeen. Menu is a perfect blend of Canada and Scotland! Food is 10/10 delicious. They made me a Gin Fizz that was perfection. The Bar Manager, Callum, looked after our table and he was a wonderful host. This is a must visit for locals and visitors alike.
