Highly recommend it! Food is excellent 10/10, staff are nice, price is friendly (absolutely reasonable price compare to the portion size - big portions). It's close to the city center but it's hidden in a small street. If you ever go to Aberdeen "It's a must"!

We arrived with a group of 9 people, everybody was very satisfied with the meal and of course I should not forget about the pálinka! The staff was very friendly the food was quickly on our table and the portion is definitely very generous. They also had the fireplace going which really added some extra coziness. We will definitely all come again, so see you guys soon!

We were at a Wedding in the Goulash Restaurant on Monday. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. The ambience of the place was very relaxed. We really enjoyed ourselves. We also enjoyed the buffet type of service. We were offered several main courses on large oval shaped plates. The food was awesome and plenty. The wedding cake prepared by the owner was out of this World.

Good food if not exciting. Everything was well prepared. I do think that I got fries instead of the expected potatoes as an error. You must walk down an alley that was full of sketchy looking people when we were arriving. The restaurant is plain. Our waiter was very sweet but some minimal English. This just added to the authenticity. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely go again.

Lovely little place, decorated like someone’s living room. The food is amazing. The host and his wife who’s cooks the food were friendly and service was top notch. All of us agreed that the food was delicious. We had the village welcome for starters to share. Gipsy steak, chicken steak, the pork and beef Goulash that came with home made pasta( really creamy super tasty). For desert we had the chimney cake in two different flavours to share. Large portion. All very good. Will definitely come here again. We had Beer wine and palinka for all, came to 46pp The dinning area is wheelchair accessible though toilets are downstairs.

Comfort food and friendly service! Walked in relatively early on a Thursday and the place was unfortunately empty apart from me but from messages around the place I get the impression it can be quite lively. Food-wise, it's important to understand that Goulash is very much comfort food with good use of spices rather than fine dining or very exotic food. You will almost definitely be confronted with lots of meat, potatoes and tasty sauces. Just what you need on a dreich day. I got the meat pancakes, Carpathian Borzaska and Hazelnut Puree and would happily recommend all three but portions are generous so bring an appetite. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable, very keen to make recommendations so don't worry about being unfamiliar with the food. Definitely worth a visit!

What a true gem this place is! It's like you are time travelling to Hungary in the 1980s. Everything is original vintage and I would not want to have it any different. The food was so good - deep fried meatballs with blueberry jam and the beef goulash. Service friendly and welcoming. Perfect food for autumn and winter.

Nice Hungarian food! The price is ok and the portion is quite large. We went for lunch and the price is a bit lower than the dinner. Goulash is flavorful, and the gherkins salad is very tasty, they make a good combo.

Wonderful family owned establishment. Owner gave a wonderful recommendation to go along with my father and I’s goulash. Quick service and delightful food. Very secluded location but do not be afraid the service was very friendly and fast!

Absolutely wonderful little restaurant serving authentic homemade hungarian food. Delicious meals. We have tried almost the whole menu and ecery dish is 10/10. Our personal favourites are the mustard chicken, and traditional goulash, and or the trappista cheese. For desert we love the strawberry jam pancakes with custard. This is easily our favourite restaurant in all of Aberdeen! We highly recommend you try this place too :)

Absolutely amazing Gem in Aberdeen. Ate there twice in a row during our stay. Everything we got was delicious including Meatballs, Chicken pancake, Hungarian Coffee and of course the goulash. This is a must try with it’s home like, cozy atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Went for a late lunch on Saturday so was happy that they were still serving lunch at 3pm. Very welcoming staff and atmosphere, with classical music in the background. Place was clean but, although it wasn't busy, I was surprised that staff were not wearing masks. Main dishes were at £13.95 and the portions were of reasonable size, big enough - I took half home with me. I had the mushroom stew with pasta and sour cream on the side, the dish was very tasty, even the pasta - I normally don't order pasta when eating out as it's so easy to make at home. Would highly recommend and would go back when I get the chance.

I went here with a few friends during a recent trip to Aberdeen. We all loved the place. I think we were served by the owner, who was very welcoming and offered fantastic service. The food was delicious and very good value. I would have gone back again if it hadn't been my last night in Aberdeen. It was a nice atmosphere and we spent quite a bit of time there. My only advice would be to arrive very hungry.

Amazing food, great service and nice atmosphere. We walked in and for my partner it was like going back home. The dinning area has its charm with traditional items. The people working there are so welcome and the food felt like home-cooked. The gypsy stake and the goulash with traditional pasta left us hoping we could have eaten more.

Absolutely fantastic! Possibly the only Hungarian restaurant in Scotland. The main reason why I keep travelling to Aberdeen from Glasgow every now and then!

Was a bit nervous on arrival as the restaurant was empty (it is tucked away in a back street). That said, service was good but the food was outstanding. Of course, i had the goulash and it did not disappoint at all. Also tried the chicken paprikash which was also exceptional.
