Second Visit Edit: we were do impressed with the farm shop we came for dinner in the Bistro. Very, very good food, probably the best steak I have had in the last 2 years. Good quality, generous portions and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.
Great farm shop, we stopped off yo get dome fresh egg and cheeses very friendly and great produce
We decided to enjoy the last night of our holiday in style and have a meal at the Moody Cow and were so glad we did . The food was lovely and really good portions. I had swordfish and prawns, very nice. I would recommend it gladly.
We enjoyed our visit to the Moody Cow Bistro, we booked online beforehand, which apparently was a good idea as it was busy, and we had an hour and a half to eat our meal.
We were taken to our table and our drinks and food order were taken quickly. The staff brought the children's meals out with the starters, which was really thoughtful.
The food was very good, staff was attentive and the atmosphere was lovely.
Went out for a meal with family my 1st time going here as on holiday. I had 3 courses for my starter had the calamari was crispy and cooked perfectly. The rolled pork belly was delicious and tender. The portions you get are well worth the price.
The sweetpotato mash was a bit peppery still enjoyed my main meal. The cheese cake was yummy not too sweet and creamy. Overall would recommend going back here and staff were friendly and service was excellent and what I like you not rushed enough time between each course.
I visited here while my granddaughter was at a party in the moody calf play barn. I wasn't sure what to expect because I haven't been for a few years.
I found the staff friendly and welcoming, and I sat and had a coffee while working because I wasn't quite ready for lunch. In some places, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this, but the people working were reassuring and happy to let me carry on.
When I did get hungry, I decided to treat myself, and I'm so glad I did - the lasagne was the best dine out lasagne I've ever eaten! And the chips were amazing too! Add to that the fun decor and the great staff - it was perfect really.
Outstanding food and decent value. Swordfish and prawns were delicious and only £16! Kids meals were good value at £5. The chips were heavenly!
Visited twice over a holiday week, once for dinner and once for breakfast on the way home. Both times were impeccable, food is high quality and cooked fresh, service was friendly and homely, atmosphere is rustic and everything you'd want from a country eatery. Excellent selection of local drinks and produce, and a real highlight of the trip.
Great breakfast! Lots to choose from, tasted lovely and it came out hot. I had the Veggie fry up and my husband had the Muffin and we both could not fault it all. Also a lovely spot if it’s raining as you can sit by the big window and look out over the pond, making you feel super cosy.
I would like to thank so many members of Staff for their kindness and help in organising a little get together of friends in aid of New Quay Lifeboat .
We all had a great time , our meals were delicious , all in all it was perfect . So successful , we are planning another get together in the very near future, with those who were not able to make it last evening .
What an amazing find, breakfast was one if the best I've had, staff really friendly, the place was immaculate and well designed, absolutely loved it - need one near home!
The moody cow was amazing, we left anything but moody. We came for breakfast where we got the bread and olives and a burger(if I'd have known how big the portions were I would have only got the burger!) and then we came back for dinner the same day where I had the crab linguini and the fried squid. Each and every meal I had there blew me away with the freshness of ingredients and also the taste! I can imagine you can have just about anything from this menu and walk away feeling fully satisfied. The portions are also fantastic and the price is extremely reasonable.
The decor of the place is one of the nicest I've seen and you feel like your at home when your there. The staff are some of the nicest people you'll meet and they made the experience even better than it was originally.
If you are nearby, I beg you to come and try this place out. You will thank me!
Friendly place. Literally a barn of a place, though nicely done. Expect lots of cow theming here!! Maybe Bulls and Heifers a step too far for toilets?
Coffee okay. Enjoyed a cake as well :)
Love this place, food is delicious, ample parking and beautiful surroundings 👌
Great food and portion sizes match the prices. If you're in the area you need to visit this place.
Nice little farm shop and restaurant with seating for large groups. The tables are well spaced out and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was well prepared and seasoned- we all enjoyed our meal. Good value for money with decent portions. The staff were friendly and helpful once you were able to get their attention. The pace of service was initially slow in getting our orders in, but once that was settled everything was good. We read some terrible reviews and were hesitant but decided to try anyway and glad we came.
Love this place. What a great business for whoever thought of it. Congratulations to you. You've thought of everything with great consideration for those of us with kids and dogs. We always visit when we're here. Been about 7 times now and no visit is any better than another. Keep up the fantastic work. All menu options we've had have been hot and delicious.Sue and Ian.
Once we found this place we kept going back! Sunday brunch is a must, it’s a one off menu weekly (booking advised). They’re dog friendly at the cafe. Interior is beautifully done and comfortable and clean. Breakfast on weekdays is until 11. We ate from the breakfast menu mostly, but the portions are great. My 11 year son had the pork belly and sweet potato mash from the main menu and loved it. The moody muffin and pancake stack was a general favourite. Everything we had was delicious. I think the only thing to say is that sometimes things are slightly wrong. Twice my husband got the wrong drink served, he ordered decaf tea and got black decaf coffee one day, for example. Also, you need to push for sauces, most places will ask if everything is ok, or if you need any sauces but that doesn’t happen automatically here. We didn’t complain as they’re all so lovely and friendly.
Very nice little Cafe/Bistro/Farm shop. Went for lunch after visiting Cei Bach Beach
