High quality food and the prices were OK. I would not want to pay more for what I got. I would have liked the burgers, and especially the chips, to be hotter temperature-wise, maybe faster delivery from when it comes out of the pan would help. The parmesan on the chips could've been melted more, perhaps roast the chips a little with the cheese on top.
The positives: delicious burgers! Yes, both the chicken and the beef ones were great and accorded with the menu description in terms of flavour from the seasoning. I particularly enjoyed the lime in the chicken burger. I perhaps felt the chicken burger could be priced a bit cheaper than the beef burger as it contained less meat. Both were £13.
The sides are a little pricey but excellent quality. I enjoyed the crispy chips with rosemary and parmesan for £6.50. Some confirmation that the chips are hand cut would be assuring, as I'd expect this at this price.
The milkshake was very good for £5 each, both quantity and quality, if a little thin - perhaps a little more ice-cream? They use their famous honey ice-cream inside it, which I could taste.
Lattes were very good and made extra hot as requested. All in all a fine meal and pleasant quieter environment with lots of natural lighting and space between tables to enjoy your meal.
Absolutely charming little place with the most beautiful food I've had in a while! The Risk it for Brisket burger was one of the best I've ever had, the chips were delicious and the ice cream was exceptional. Really lovely conservatory seating with a lovely view whilst we ate. Lots of room outside on colourful picnic tables too. Highly highly recommend.
Very good food, really lovely restaurant. We had a lunch treat and were impressed with how tasty the dishes were and the selection. Highly recommended!
Make a bee-line (geddit?) for this place. So accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Food was tasty and substantial. Ice cream as desert following birthday breakfast! Indulgent or what. All the ice creams appear to have honey as an ingredient, and you could certainly taste it in my coconut. Gorgeous. Excuse me for waxing lyrical about it! (😜)
We have heard so much about the honey ice cream from the hive in Aberaeron so our expectations were very high! Today we finally managed a visit..
We were served from the outside servery by a friendly staff member, we were served promptly and paid an average price for a high quality ice cream.
We had the Turkish delight which was the most bizarre experience! A Turkish delight and honey flavour both very clearly defined. Lovely will definitely have again!
Visited today with my partner for lunch we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. We both went for the flatbreads, I chose the lamb flatbread and my partner had the halloumi flatbread. Both were full of flavour! Really hit the spot👌 friendly staff and nice views. A good menu to choose from as well! Would definitely recommend
Lovely views! The mussels were very good and fresh. The squid, avoid at all costs for sure. We also had the fish and chips and that was really delicious!
So a bit hit and miss but still tasty.

We stayed in Aberaeron for a week and ate here 3 times as it was so good on our first visit. Mussels and sea bass were our favourites. Staff very good. Lovely sitting outside on a sunny day or in the airy conservatory if rain. We had our baby with us early evening and the staff were very accommodating
Visited here with family whilst on a week break. The surrounding views are lovely as is all the food and ice cream. The food was as all delicious. I had fish and chips which was beautiful. If we're ever back in the area we'll definitely be back.

Had initially stooped for a honey ice cream (coconut /banana/ Bueno ) was lush (pistachio/mint/choc ) was epic
Due to rain dived inside and had a coffee great atmosphere , lovely helpful staff would deffo return

Staff went out of their way to help me with bus and taxi information. The coffee was excellent and the place is fantastic! Going to stay on for food. I’ll let you know how that goes! 😎👍🏻
Evening Meal - A welcoming and warm atmosphere along with immaculate toilets and eating areas. I Sat in the conservatory below vines covered with fairy lights I was given food that should have been award winning. The Mackerel starter was seasoned to perfection and accompanied with just the right amount of sweet beetroot and contrasting pickle. Set on a plate of fanciful wonder. I went for a traditional main of fish and chips. Again they have taken a traditional favourite and spun intricacy and interest into this culinary delight. The batter was fresh and fish cooked light and fluffy the pea purée was sweet and had a great consistency, it could only be bettered with a little more pea coming through. The whole evening washed down with perfectly blended Martini and lemonade was an experience I will be returning to soon! Thanks Hive
The food is good, I really love the Tartar sauce of my fish and chips. Milkshake is good, rich milky flavour with honey 🍯 taste. It is different from others.
A delightful meal here at The Hive. We had some lovely cocktails, started with mussels which were dressed in the most incredible sauce which me and my partner both loved. We then followed with beef stroganoff and confit duck both of which were fantastic and left us wanting another round! I truly couldn’t recommend this place more!
Amazing place! Great choice of breakfast. We had the Welsh Rarebit & Bacon and Full Breakfast. Great portions and filled our tummies. Staff is ever so friendly and helpful!
Vibrant place. Quite busy and popular. Famous for ice cream. Love the ambience. Place is nice, staff is very friendly. Services are nice. Some options for vegans. View is nice from the top floor. Enjoyed the food and dessert.
